Both these D coordinators should be fired. There used to be good defenses in the NFL back in the day. There are great players on these defenses. How can this be happening if the DCs don’t suck.

Did I do that right?

You need to declare that you’re writing an open letter to get both DCs fired.

Then announce that you’re NOT writing an open letter.

Then get tanked and write it anyway.

I’ll alert the Pulitzer people for you.

What frightens me is that both of teams have offenses that are similar to Frosts. Meaning it won't be too long until NFL teams are knocking at his door.

They’re not similar... The Chip Kelly type system was exposed in the NFL. These would be pro style spreads of anything.

A pro style spread is exactly what the Power Spread is.

A power spread is what Auburn runs. Frost is running a spread option offense. Frost does use some of the things Malzahn runs in his offense but they’re not quite the same.

Explain the difference other than some changes in pulling techniques, different motions, etc. If you think the base foundation of this offense is not based on the things that they did up in Oregon then I don’t know what to tell ya..

That's incorrect. Spread option is part of the power spread.

Did you see how many times Mahomes ran the option tonight?

What exactly is this power spread to you? Auburn runs a smashmouth spread system. That system by design wants to beat you at the point of attack with blocks. The spread option wants to beat you in space 1 on 1. Two different numbers games here.

Regards of what we want to "call it"...I am thankful Nebraska is running an offense that actually works and is putting points on the scoreboard. Keep up the great work Coach Frost!! Winking

And win 10 more national championships

Only 10 more?!?! What are we paying him for fire him now!!!! I want 11 more

— sarcasm intended here, just thought I’d bring it full circle from poached from pros to fired, I just know some people struggle picking up on sarcasm—

If you didn't watch the game, you might assume it was just bad defense that let the offenses run wild. Clearly, neither team is a defensive juggernaut but give a ton of credit to those offenses. They are electric. If a Wade Phillips coached defense with Aaron Donald and company can't slow down a team at home...I'm not sure what will.

I guess it's the new NFL.

These offenses could fill a pro-bowl team by themselves. It has little to do with scheme. The rams have a better defense than the chiefs...the chiefs have a better offense...the defenses scored a ton of points themselves...both teams have explosive talent and it shows. Put on a game between the Cardinals and the 49ers and it would look different. Talent matters.

Sorry, but their offensive talent levels aren't that much better than other teams in the NFL.

Fire these two defensive coordinators and hire two new coordinators to be fired in a year.

The game has changed now and forever.

Enjoy it and have fun with the speed.

You should have mentioned how much more effective the chiefs and the rams offenses would be if they just utilized the fullback more
