coming to the game this weekend with a 5 and 6 yr old. My wife wants to know if we’re allowed to bring a blanket in the stadium?

Also what fun stuff is there for kids to do before game?

Not sure if they will have the kid games prior to game due to weather.

Yes, you can bring in blankets. I'd suggest it as well. Have them wear longjohns if you have them. Legs will get cold.

Just sneak in some fireball.

Back in my day, we didn't have no Fireball.
People had to wait in line on Friday outside the north stadium to get some moonshine.
We didn't have blankets either.
To stay warm, you had to line up on Friday and stand in line outside the south stadium with a burlap bag.
There was a guy shearing sheep, once he ran out of wool, you only had the burlap bag to keep you warm.

I hope the “cold” doesn’t keep attendance down - the optics were bad last week having the announcers touting the sell out streak while there were sizable patches of empty seats visible in the background during their discussion.

I was perfectly fine with lower attendance. So much more room. We could all spread out and finally be comfortable for at least one home game :p

Agree ... just covertly change the sellout streak sign without all the hoopla and fanfare when there are clear patches of empty seats visible to all

Eh? Sellout is tickets sold, not attendance. Never has been, never will be attendance. The sellout won't end in our lifetimes unless something really drastic happens.

There have been empty seats at the stadium since I've been going to games regularly in the 80s, especially in the student section and/or the visitor sections. There are also a bazillion ticket holders tailgating right outside, especially on cold or hot days, watching on their big screen tellies.

Worse thing NEB has done are all these stupid stadium expansions in the last 20 years that ruined a perfectly good stadium and wonderful atmosphere.

I guess we've just turned a post about blankets into a post about the sellout again. Sorry everyone.

I am sure it will be sparse. Lots of reasonable price tickets available
