Brenda Snipes and Broward County are at it again down in Florida. How in the hell is this woman not behind bars? That county is corrupt as hell..
The current political climate has us all pushed into silos. As a liberal I'm encouraged to despise all conservative policies and ideas, and vice versa. One thing I sincerely believe is that government will never truly serve us all if we remain in a polarizing divisive environment. We're so polarized that conservatives will believe anything the President tells them, true or not. Liberals will reject any conservative policy plan, out of sheer spite. Where is compromise? We've quit valuing it. We can start by refusing to pigeonhole or demonize "all" liberals or conservatives.

I don't follow Trumps every word. So your telling me that you followed oboma lock stock and barrel? Please explain to me why you as a liberal want the government to control most of your daily lives? No sarcasm. I honestly don't get it. Why should the government provide people who don't work but can a welfare check?
Surely. I didn't follow Obama completely. In fact, I vastly disagreed with him on foreign policy. We had more in common than not though, to be sure. For your second question, no, I don't want the government to control most of my daily life. I don't really know anyone, liberal or conservative, that would really want that. That supposition is an absolute. Your third question implies an inherent cynicism of "lazy welfare state recipients". I can't dispel that myth for you on my own, as it's very powerful. I can humbly submit that one or two twists of fate can send any of us to a dark place we'd never thought we'd find.
None of us are "temporarily disadvantaged millionaires". We have to make the American Dream work for all of us, and bringing our government to heel should be part of that. As long as we remain divided politically, our representatives in government will only care about our vote, and not us.
This is only going to get worse. When our country was founded you either were a believer in Jesus Christ being God or you were not.
We didn't have atheists, we had Christians and Deists. Deists do not believe in Jesus as God in the flesh and actively involved in human lives, but believed there is the Creator of all things in the universe whom has his hands off the wheel, so to speak.
Now we have atheists, who believe in nothing, and so really any action is Amoral. In an uncreated universe anything is ok. All morality is subjective.
Governments operate on laws. Laws are a reflection of what we have agreed to as immoral or moral. SOMEONES morality is going to be held up over everyone. That is just the way it is. Either morality is objective, as in God says this is so for everyone regardless of whether I personally agree or not, or it is subjective as in I personally for no other reason than a human out working of feelings, feel that thus is moral, or good, or ethical.
And so in the beginning this experiment was really just a way to work through tax issues or trade agreements, or agreed upon crop distributions within states and among states(so as to not have everybody growing corn, and not enough wheat).
But now we have DEEEEEEEEEEP divides because even our monetary system we are disagreeing with, let alone the reason for WHY we are here.
We've gone from consensus on genesis(and thus morality which guides law), to conflict. We've gone from consensus on the monetary system(free market to socialism), to conflict. We've gone from consensus on sovereignty of our nations borders(positive control to illegal if controlled), to conflict.
And this all really stems from the belief that we are created and that creator has shown by His Word and through nature how we are to behave and what should obviously be lawful or not.
I'm convinced it would be better to have separate countries north/south, east/west, whatever, whereby our diametrically opposed views can be lived out in peace. This is what was sought after so hard by the pilgrims, from which the first amendment was largely inspired. Otherwise groups like Antifa and the new Knights Templar will become a real danger to the public at large.
Well thought post. Several years ago a Russian geopolitcal expert who stated his firm belief that the USA would split into 4-5 regions by 2010. Widely mocked but looking pretty scary lately.

Where do you think the inspirations come from ultimately? Because it cannot be the humanitarian and monetary achievements of the left.
They sell a pretty picture, sinful indulgences, and the promise of power. Very few get power and the picture is hardly pretty. The indulgences however are given....and taken.
