Yeah, but is the university really committed to football? Even Oregon state has a better facility than what $90 can buy...

I was surprised that in our game at Ohio State, how many empty seats there were. Top 10 team.I just saw on TV here in Indiana that tickets for the Wisconsin game are still available for $15 through the ticket office. Coming off wins against ranked opponents the last few weeks, I'm not sure how far Purdue is willing to go when they're throwing tickets at fans to try and fill a stadium that holds under 60k. We got four tickets for $60 via the ticket office to watch Iowa play at Purdue. I know there are some high profile donors that give to Purdue, but it's not just money. It's a fickle fanbase that can disappear like a drop of water in the desert...especially once basketball starts.
The Louisville job is a much better gig than Purdue.
UCF fans said all the exact same things about Scott Frost last year.
If he truly cares about his alma mater and wants to bring them back, none of the other things will matter.
Louisville is a much better job than Purdue. Purdue is always going to be a bottom feeder in the Big 10. It's an engineering school and not much to do there. They're not going to be lining up a bunch of high quality recruits.
Again, how is it a “much better job?” Purdue can absolutely become a Iowa type program over a long period of time with the right coach and a legit commitment from the athletic department.
UCF isn’t a B1G program.
Ok. What does Purdue not have that will keep them from competing for the big ten west year in and year out?Why would anyone strive to be a middle of the road Big Ten team? Aim Higher.
UCF is way more on the radar than Purdue right or wrong.

You didn’t give him the chance. You didn’t answer the question.
In the last few years yes but not historically. Not even close.
F that. I'd rather the rest of the b1g west suck balls. The crappier the rest of the division, the better Nebraska does. Sign me up for dominating the West.
Ok. So what does that have to do with who has a better program now? I would argue Purdue is in a better position to succeed now. If they aren't. Please explain. I just want to know what Purdue doesn't have that will keep them from competing for the west year in and year out. That's pretty debatable. In the last 25 years they have way more accomplishments than Purdue football. Without looking up any of their history I'm not sure when they started, but since the late 90's they are a much better program than Purdue. Save me the they aren't in a power conference talk. They've had a ton of good players and been to the big bowl games and have won. Purdue has not. You Purdue folks are way to sensitive. Most of us NU fans like Purdue, we just call it as we see it on our board.
If they can hold on to Brohm, they have a shot. Who is the backup to Blough? Is Purdue’s recruiting improved to a point where they can compete with others in the west? Asking because I don’t know.Ok. Sindelar is the back up. He was the starter for like half the games last year. And Brohm has a top 25 class at the moment and most would argue Purdue leads for a pair of top 150 receivers. They also have a QB they are redshirting that Michigan was really wanting last year.If they can hold on to Brohm, they have a shot. Who is the backup to Blough? All of this will help tremendously. But the key, I think, is to keep Brohm no matter what. If he goes, there are no guarantees for the next guy.Sindelar is the back up. On top of that, Purdue just built $65 million dollar football only facilities and are planning to announce a likely 9 figure stadium renovation in the next couple months I think. Plus the new AD and University President have said they will do whatever it takes to keep Brohm.
So basically for the first time in the last 25 years, Purdue University sees football as more than a $5 million opportunity and because of that, are taking it serious. The new AD has been huge.
I don't really see Brohm going anywhere. Obviously there are some top 10 jobs like bama, OSU, Oklahoma that no one is saying no to. But he's in a really good situation at Purdue with an opportunity to win the big ten in a couple years. Heck, he doesn't ever have his own team yet and is competing. Purdue has found a good one and the university knows it.All of this will help tremendously. But the key, I think, is to keep Brohm no matter what. Just ask us. It’s been a rough 15-20 years... finally feel like we got our guy.
And you might be right. But the X factor is probably Louisville. If he has a chance to go home, it might be too irresistible. That and the NFL.I don't really see Brohm going anywhere.
