To this day, I say that had Bo won the big games, his heated antics would have been tolerated.
No doubt about it. You can lose or be a dick, can’t do both. It’s like the old crazy/hot scale.
In the press conference after the game, Herman said he thought Gundy was going after one of his players, but they cleared it during the post-game handshake that Gundy was trying to stop his own players from escalating things (and his actions at that time backed that up IMO). If I saw the other coach running onto the field and it looked like he was going toward one of my players, I would probably run out there, too.
Here is the Youngstown newspaper story. Yes, YSU lost 43-17 to a 3-4 team they were favored over. Sounds like the situation is a real dumpster fire. Pelini calling out the team, the defense calling out the offense, Bo got another unsportsmanlike during the game, etc.

I think his antics are what led to him losing the big games. When Pelini lost his composure on the sideline, it seems like the team lost theirs also.
so much for "us against the world". Pelini needs to just quit the college game and try to latch on as a position coach in the NFL again.

Have cousins in Fargo and they have witnessed this during their games against him..
Meh. I would argue it was more Cam Meredith types, lack of defensive speed and a bunch of weak OLB.

You get what you deserve in life, typically, and Bo is no exception.

Yeah that didn't make any sense to me either. How the hell could Herman get the idea that Gundy was coming after a Tejas player when he clearly was getting his guys away from the whorns? Herman is full of doo-doo!

I would take 9-win Bo over Smilin’ Mike any day. Having said that I wanted Bo out when he got axed.
Not gonna lie, when he declared that “We’re back” after the Zona game, I believed him.. boy was I wrong!
The perfect job for him would be a D coordinator in the NFL. No recruiting and the Head Coach can stick him up in the skybox where he can't embarrass himself or the team.
