They better punt this year or it’s gonna bring back all those emotions of trauma from what we’ve witnessed so often in recent years.

Look at the players on D. NU will be lucky to have 1 -2 Honorable mention all conference players. Tough to have a good defense if you have average players. Thats no knock on the kids either.
Stop ragging on Chinander until he gets something to work with. Where would the offense be wothout Martinez, Ozigbo, Spielman and Morgan? Same spot as the Defense most likely.
We gave up 355 yards to BC. It’s gonna be a long day against Ohio St.
Shitander...1st P5 job as a coordinator 3rd year as a DC overall. Paid like a top 5 p5 DC. But i forgot Neb likes to hire underqualified unproven coaches.
Being fair we didn’t play bucknuts in 2013,2014 and 2015.. Hard to make them punt when you don’t play them in those 3 years...

The whole knock on NU beating OSU a few years ago was Bauserman. OSU had sub par players so NU won. So why isnt the reverse the same? As mentioned, NU lacks the talent of OSU and had for years. Bitching about a DC who is 8 games in and has very few guys he recruited for his system is assinine
I feel confident that OSU will punt in the game this weekend. They will likely score a lot of points and win the game by 3 TDs or so, but I think they will punt at some point.

To be fair Miami has played them 3 time over the last few years and gave up 350 ish all games as well. Fl St played them when they were ranked 8th a few years back and gave up 260. I think they run a very similar offense to ours, and can easily put up yards. No matter who they play.
Our D needs to get much much better to play with teams like Ohio St, but I wouldn't let this particular stat cloud judgment.
Good point. I just feel like everything is stacked against us this game. OSU doesn’t get pounded twice in a row, they’ve had two weeks to prepare, it’s on the road etc... we just get killed over the middle with slants and tight ends. You never know though.
You are clueless. Paid like a top 5 DC? He isn’t even one of the highest paid assistants in the conference. This year there are 18 assists making over $1M. Even if he doesn’t turn out to be a good DC, calling him Shitander is beyond juvenile.
Yep, this needs to get fixed. Has killed us all year. I don't see it changing at this point.
I have seen the defense get a little better each game...but have painful breakdowns from time to time. Give the D Coordinators a break. Lots of changes have occurred...culturally and schematically.
