The team went 3-25 from deep in the open scrimmage. I don’t think that’s going to be the norm and it didn’t really appear guys like Copeland/Palmer were going balls to the wall. But it was still tough to watch.

I do think the lack of depth will be a real concern. If Roby can’t stay out of foul trouble it will be hard to win games in the Big Ten. On the plus side, I’m not convinced that Jordy would have been a better option at the 5 compared to Tanner. Tanner is much leaner this year and quite honestly...probably a better basketball player than Jordy.

Glad to hear on Tanner. Jordy was really frustrating to watch because although he has a 6’11 body, he literally couldn’t jump and wasn’t a strong defender.

I believe your thinking of the first game/half we played. The second game/half against ISU we shot a lot better and the clones got cold. I honestly think this season we will be fine. I don’t ever recall having the talent like we have now. We have a solid 3-4 players in Copeland, Palmer, Roby and Watson. It also sounds like Allen is coming in strong off the bench as our number 6 (is that how we label that??). For Miles it’s this year or possibly never again.

Never mind, you was talking about the red and white scrimmage I’m guessing?? For the 3-25 from deep. Either ways, we have always been up and down from long range. We have a few that can get hot and light it up from deep. Just as long as our top 3-4 players play good, we can win games. Again, it’s this year or never for Miles.

I think I would have rather seen them rated as #26. I still haven't got over the prior Top 25 pre-season ranking and all of the excitement that followed until they began playing games. What a horrific season that was. This time I will be more cautious and reserved. Seeing is believing. A coaches job is and deserves to be on the line this time around. With the Big Ten projected to be down this season there are no more excuses.

Im predicting a .500 record, much tougher B1G with no depth whatsover. I hope I'm wrong and we go dancing but I've been burned too many times by this program.

Mile’s teams always seem to play poorly against teams they should beat. They may come around by a BIG 10 time, but right now they have to prove it to me.
