Was visiting the Rutgers board since they are our next opponent. I thought of you guys because:

1. Even though they've won a game, you guys still have your chins up and I respect that. No matter how bad things get, remember that at least you're not Rutgers
2. You guys aren't the only newbies to the league that are struggling. It's natural. You can take some solace in that.
3. These guys are really funny. Humor can be therapeutic. Maybe it too can help you during these tough times.

Yea, you really showed your traditional B1G superiority last week. You act like this is our first year in the conference, we have been here a while, have played in a conference championship game (remind me has NW ever done that?) and have won on your field three out of four times. My bad. I didn't mean to sound so condescending. Actually I greatly respect Nebraska. We are actually exactly even (we've also won on your field three out of four times) in our matchups since you joined, and I think almost every game has been a nailbiter. This Saturday was something of a gift and we are lucky to win, but consider it a make-up for the game we lost in Lincoln where Westerkamp grabbed a miracle hail mary on the last second. And I still do recall when you guys stomped us in San Antonio in my first memory of NU vs. UNL when we tied for the B1G title that year, so all the teasing earlier aside, we do remember when Nebraska was truly dominant, which is why we are enjoying this down period a little bit more than we otherwise should.

All in all, I think you guys are good people and the fact that Iowa is so annoyed by you is a positive my book. You were always a very polite fan base even when you won, which stands in stark contrast with the drunkards from Wisconsin and the embarrassments from Ohio State.

I always enjoy the game in Evanston. There were some really funny Cats fans in our section. And the NW coeds were looking more talented than I remember...

Don't mind us over here. We are a little testy right now. There was way too much Kool-aid at the start of the season with Frost & Co. We were led to believe championships were not far off, and Scott was a younger Osborne. But we were a soft and undisciplined team with a few divas that had to go. And with a freshman QB, no viable backup, a new offensive philosophy, blah, blah, blah ..... add some injuries (which everyone has right now), and we're really thin and weak in some areas. And the talent isn't here on the lines. Not sure we'll ever get to where we want to be, so in the mean time we turn on each other, gripe a lot, and we're an easy win for opponents - for now at least.
