Can we beat Wisconsin?

If we were healthy we had a chance. But missing dlineman and linebackers, we have no shot. We won't be able to stop them in the 4th quarter if every goes right. And even if we were healthy. Wisky could turn the ball over 4-5 times in their own territory and because our kicking game is so bad we might only get 6 points out of it. Our KR/PR teams are so bad that we will have to move the ball 20% farther to get points compared to wisky. So we could win the turnover battle by +3, gain 150 yards more than them and still get beat handily. Special teams REALLY hurts us and is overlooked.

Much like many of the games this season, it wouldn't surprise me one way or the other. Wisconsin could win 70-10 or maybe they have an off game and Nebraska springs the upset (unlikely but still possible).

One thing that gives me false hope is the way the offense started to click in the second half against Purdue. It started to feel like some confidence was growing. Hopefully that confidence offensively carries over and Nebraska can actually start strong for the first time this season. If not, it may be a blood bath.

A number of years ago nobody was giving ISU a chance against us and I warned that IF we gave the ball way to them too much that we could get beat. Sure enough we went -4 or 5 in turnovers and lost to ISU back when they were putrid. Anything is possible if we get enough things to go our way. I lost the farm already on the Purdue game so I'm not betting on us covering the spread on this one though.

I think it was a total of 8 turnovers. We couldn't do anything right...

The 2018 Nebraska team can win only if it get tons of help from Wisconsin.

Big 10 coaches want to make it as difficult as possible for Coach Frost to turn this ship around. The best way to make the transition more difficult...continue to pound Nebraska into the ground.

My heart/head tells me Wisconsin in a rout. Wisconsin will have plenty of success running the ball right at Nebraska which will open up the play action pass game.

It would be great if Nebraska proves me wrong but until then...

Go look at the BYU-Wisconsin game. Little bittie BYU stood up to their "supposedly" gargantuan lines and whooped them. Our tempo scheme has to work one of these games and the Badgers should be sucking wind in the fourth quarter.

BYU was way more physical. It’s been years since I’ve seen our team be that physical. I’m just hoping we play a clean game and they shoot themselves in the foot. Last years second half against Wisky was one of the most humiliating halves I’ve ever seen.

BYU is a physical team. Nebraska is soft, soft, soft.
