A number of years ago nobody was giving ISU a chance against us and I warned that IF we gave the ball way to them too much that we could get beat. Sure enough we went -4 or 5 in turnovers and lost to ISU back when they were putrid. Anything is possible if we get enough things to go our way. I lost the farm already on the Purdue game so I'm not betting on us covering the spread on this one though.

Not sure how accurate this is but it likes us a majority of the time. lol It also likes us vs UCF
What is kind of odd with it. I ran it for the 18-19 season. If you run it for the 17-18 season. It says both teams beat us a majority of the time. The 17-18 seems more realistic for this year. Maybe the 18-19 is more accurate a prediction for next year? :D

Found it to be the most accurate when I put our opponent at 18-19 and us at 17-18. It correctly predicted our first 4 games. I finished out the season.
Wisconsin- Win gives us a, 15% chance we win
NW Win 70% chance we win
MN Loss 60% chance we win
B cookman Win 85% chance we win
Ohio St Loss 0% chance to win
Illinois Win 80% chance we win
Mich St Loss 40% chance we win
Iowa Loss. 30% chance to win
I would take 4-4 to finish the year

I am pessimistic of course. Who wouldn’t be? But you are correct. If Wisconsin plays a sloppy game and we play a clean game we have a chance.

It all depends on the psyche of the team. Because love him or hate him Riley was far more competitive against them than Bo ever was. I was at the game last year. We hung with those guys well into the third quarter. But our defense got tired and they pounded us into submission.

We cannot go in with a defeatist attitude. If we go in thinking we can win we just might. But we have to play our first clean game. Maybe this is the week something positive finally happens for this team.

Sure we can. It's a winnable game. I always believe you CAN win. If not just forfeit and stay home. Percentage chance of winning is a different story. If we can correct some things, tackling and defense and special teams specifically, then yes it goes up. If Wisconsin has a bad day and we win the turnover battle I think we've got agooa chance. We might not be getting opponents full attention right now

Absolutely!! Can’t be beat! Won’t be beat!
I know first four games sobered me up from all the kool aid chugging, and no doubt our team has major issues, but so many issues are fixable. Combine that with guys getting more comfortable in new systems each week and Frost drilling into them a championship mindset. The team and the fans cannot quit ever. Period. It’s tough, but it is the foundation that must be built as Frost said.
Team needs to believe and fans need to believe.
Too many gave up on Purdue game even though it was very winnable til the final drive.
Adrian Martinez a true freshman spoke about his confidence. I love it. The first four games are not irrelevant but they are now in the past.
Wins and Lessons... we’ve had our lessons, now it’s time to move on and get those Wins.

Play Texas 2007 defense, and just bring the house. I do like the matchups of Stanley and Speilman against their D, but not sure we give Amart enough time to make the throw. 38-10 Wisconsin.

Main thing is to cut the penalties in half and to get their offense off the field. They love to milk the clock and we love to give away our composure on third downs. Plus I feel like our offense is going to have to score at least 4 touchdowns. If we do that, we'll have a good chance.

Yep. Better third down defense. Fewer penalties. Consistent offense. We need all 3

BTN B1G Elite 1997 Huskers.
Great story on there about Matt Davison’s first road game to Washington asking an O-lineman on the bus if he thought they were gonna win. For his naive doubt Davison quickly found himself slammed up against the bus window being told that kind of mentality had no place on their team.
And that’s how it’s done folks.

Seems drastic to bring the house but why not? The more conservative approach did not work. Still gave up big plays. So we need to create more negative plays to kill drives and maybe generate some turnovers. Because if we don’t create negative plays they will drive it down our throats

The two big keys to stopping Wisconsin is shut down the middle in their pass game as Hornibrook is awful throwing outside, and somehow slow their running game as they are going to get yards no matter what. On O, we need to get it to Stanley and Speilman. I just doubt we do any of it,.

My main interest is how long into the game do we get before the answer becomes a resounding “No”.

In contrast to the Michigan game I would hope it is longer than 90 seconds.
In my opinion there are five very intimidating stadiums in the B1G. Our house, Penn State, Ohio State, Iowa and Wisconsin. Camp Randall can be raucous. Let them get ahead of us and it might be a long night. We need to jump on these guys early and get some momentum. Otherwise... ugly

The trouble is that it seems to me that whenever we play any of the better teams in the conference nobody ever seems to have an “off night” against us? I mean come on. Is Northwestern really that much better than we are? How could they play Michigan and take them to the end? Michigan clearly played better against us. I don’t buy that we are still a big game for some of these teams. That ship has sailed. Or are we?

We just never seem able to pull off an upset like Iowa did last year against OSU. Why?

Wisconsin would literally have to give the game away with a bunch of turnovers and penalties. I don’t see them going all Nebraska while playing Nebraska. :D

There is a ‘perfect storm’ where NU wins in Madison.

We’ve seen the offense look pretty good for a few stretches this season. The offense will have to play 4 strong quarters.

We’ve seen the defense get some stops in a few games. The defense will have to get stops in all 4 quarters.

So if the offense and defense play their best 4 quarters of the season, NU has a shot.

Of course, special teams will factor in. We have yet to see the special teams be good this year. And penalties. NU has to avoid catastrophic penalties, which they haven’t done all year.

So, if the offense and defense play their best 4 quarterss of the season; if the special teams don’t suck, and if we avoid awful penalties, then NU has a shot. Simple stuff.

So I’ll say Wisconsin 45, Nebraska 14

Win? It could happen but ,for God's sake, don't put any of your money on it. That would be incredibly foolish.

Penalties and going negative in turnovers.

That's it.

We clean that up I think we have a chance to win. If we don't, no way
