Will we adjust and have four lineman in? We have lost Honas to a season ending injury. I think one of our ILB shouldn't be playing anyway, so I would be happy with a four man front.

We play the 3-4 with safeties against tight ends; Wisconsin has 400 yards rushing, JMO. Will chins adjust appropriately? What is the answer too Wisconsins offense?

That could very well be true, but I'm a sucker for the Huskers. I always think they can beat a team like Wisconsin.

Wisc sucks at passing. We rank ahead of them in that area. Hornibrook is average at best. He can manage the game very well. He isn't going to eat you alive with deep passes all night long. He isn't all the mobile either. He is also prone to throwing Int when under pressure. He is efficient at the short 5 to 10 yard dump passes
They can run, that is it. If we can somehow stack the box and make them beat us with the pass. I honestly think we have a chance. However if we can't get a pass rush on him, I am guessing he will be able to hit at least a few passes that would beat us. Stopping the run, get a pass rush,. That is how we beat them. Sounds easy right? lol They also are not very good at defending the run. Still ranked 50th, but that is the weak area on D. If we can get Martinez and Ozigbo running hot, maybe we can keep them on their toes for a deep pass here and there.
I have been wrong all year, but I don't think they put up a ton of points on us. Their offense is to slow paced for that. They want to run the ball, have long 6-7 min drives and play keep away. We are going to have to take advantage when we have the ball. This 3 and out we like to do every other drive is not going to cut it. BYU did it, they are nothing far Superior to us. We rank pretty close if not ahead of them in O and D statistics.

I agree completely. Their offense is rushing. Were going to have to sell out against it. Wiscon's defense is good but it isn't anywhere near last years.

One high safety, sell out against the run. It will result in some long runs, but we can't sit back and let them run for 9 yards a carry.

Against Iowa, Wisky’s 2 TE formation was often a backup tackle and backup guard playing TE... both over 300 lbs... 7 300+ blockers for arguably the nations’s best back.

Nebraska needs to score early and often. Track meet is the only way to make them unsettled and stop a bludgeoning of our D- which is awful

I agree. We're in a bad situation. They may have 400 or more yards with 4 d-linemen. Probably going to get alot of gasps, but I would run a 5-2 with a safety to the strongside and I would uncover a wr for a run blitz occasionally. That's just me.

I've never read that. I'll check it out. Not alot ot worthy books now a days. Suggestions? I read alot of everything.

Sad but true. We just can’t seem to beat these guys home or away. Once since joining the BIG10. Very sad! We’d have to play lights out, come out plus in turnovers, and have very few penalties. Just don’t see that happening with this team. Hope I’m wrong! My take: Wisconsin 45 Huskers 14

Won't matter what scheme Nebraska runs or how strong the guys are, if you have double digit flags with 100 yards in penalties and going negative in turnovers every, single, game.

Done dealing right there.

Alabama, UCF, Clemson, Ohio State, or any other football team out there right now isn't good enough to overcome that either.

Heck, whatever formation we play, I'll be happy if the guys on the outside hold the edge and don't crash into the middle on the fake up the middle or take an inside rush lane with no one covering the outside more than say twice. Each of those times will probably cost us a big gain or a touchdown, but only screwing that up a couple of times will be improvement.

We have 3 excellent WR's, faster and more athletic than in our recent history, AJ Taylor and Danny Davis were both 4 stars, Pryor the 3rd is the most athletic of the three and all get open and can catch & run.

We have a high caliber TE in Jake Ferguson, who is a legit match up problem who has jumped ahead of 4 star upper classman TE Penniston and mostly blocking TE Zander Neuville , who also is a very good receiver.
Chryst has coached very conservatively this season, thought he could run over BYU and played very close to the vest AT Iowa.
We will and can throw but only if necessary.

Remember we were projected to have the best OL in college football and a deep RB position , headed by a Heisman hopeful in Jonathon Taylor, Chryst expects he can run it down peoples throats.

Won't have trouble running it down our throats and won't need to pass. Thank god for you because although you may have some weapons, you still have Hornibrook as a QB. Defend the middle in the pass game, and he is terrible.
