Frosty is a very charismatic coach, but so was MS, remember he was the guy who sent Vernon Davis to the showers in his first game as interim coach. Right now Frost is coaching a team that players VERY tight, makes a TON of mistakes that they do not make in practice, and makes HUGE mistakes late in games when the pressure is high. We have a team that chokes, more than loses right now. That could be indicative of a team playing with too much pressure.

These are young men. They are not multi-millionaires playing a game. I love Mike Singletary. He is just a high character man. Scott Frost loves this state and his players. He is also a high character man. He will succeed.

The college and pro game are way different. Young men need guidance. As long as our coaches are good teachers, I think the ship will turn.

I am making a conscience effort to conserve my worry. I don’t want the tank to be empty and have nothing left to allow for proper bitching following the game - win or lose. I also need to be sufficiently recovered by Monday morning so I can begin fretting about the Wisconsin game with the intensity it deserves

I am not worrying...it is what it is...what is stupid is the fact he has been anointed by so many when he has had one great season. If he scorned us and went to coach Iowa, our fans would back this thread 100%...he took over a team that had been to a BCS game two years prior, had a lot of talent, played a soft schedule, and won a ton of close games. That is not a pattern but a single data point. Add on the fact that he is now viewed with awe by people even though he had one true data point of success, and add on the fact that he is viewed by the state as a god, and these players have to still somehow perform up to his and the states expectations, and we get what we have. He may not have been an all time great qb, but he the leader of a championship team at NU... the face of the team... not just a game manager of a great defense.
