With all of this O-Line Talk, why not throw a little more weight on these boys, and let them eat on the OL. Both would be able to move around a little bit, and Jackson would be relentless.

From the sound of things I wouldnt rule out Jurgens being asked to try O-Line. Not sure how I’d feel about it, but also not sure I see this staff keeping him at TE and we seem less desperate on D-line.
And if it hasnt been said enough we are desperate on O-Line so a very athletic kid building up another 20-30 lbs seems like a viable option if he’s also willing.
Maybe a good time to mention again Chris Walker requesting to move to D-Line where I’m not confident he’ll ever break through. Maybe he’ll reconsider what could be best for the team moving back over to offense.

Sounded like they didn't feel he could move well enough at the weight he'd need to do what their system requires.

I'm still curious about Jurgens as an OT. But let's see about recruiting kids whose best position is the one they play before we start thinking that hamming a bunch of square pegs into round holes somehow makes this team better.

Jackson has been playing football for what? 18 months? Sure, the effort will be there, but still.

Sometimes I feel the fact they haven't played is overrated. There are plenty of examples in pro football right now where they are taking rugby players and making them great players in a short amount of time. Yes, it will take time, but why not start now and get him rolling all of the way through Spring Practice into next fall?

Not saying you are wrong, but I feel like if they work at it, and make football their life it shouldn't come as hard as people tend to think. Just my opinion.

Who are the Rugby players that they have turned into great NFL players? Just curious

Great may have been the wrong word, although if you are in the NFL you are very talented. I'm too lazy to look up names right now, but there was the guy from the 49's who returned kicks. This year in the draft I know there was a guy that was huge that was getting some good pub during camp about picking it up. But yeah, great was probably the wrong word.

Coach Beckton mentioned in the preseason that multiple position coaches were interested in Jurgens switching. I think he said because he was a freak athlete. I'm convinced he will switch to OL or DL.

Maybe Cam doesn't want to play Oline? Recall he was wavering towards LSU last fall and they made a nice push to keep him. Were promises made? Who knows what the internal conversations have been, but it seems pretty clear to me he wants to be a TE. Not saying that is (or should be) the final word, but it's a factor.
