I’d feel better if Conrad wasn’t first team Center..
I feel the same way, but I feel some empathy for him at the same time. He walks on at NU, works hard for years, recruiting failures and misses earn him the opportunity to start and play...and to be one of the most highly criticized players in the program That has to be a crappy feeling. We all know he's not cutting it. But he's doing his best.

This isn't an attack on you. I've said the same thing you have.

I agree. Conrad is a good guy. A team player. A true Husker. So I hate criticizing him. But this is big boy football and he just doesn’t have it. Still... he is better than Pelini was at center as well as Utter.

He played nicked up last Saturday. He's playing the position that has the most responsibility of any in line spot in Frost's offense. He maybe lacks some quickness and is a little tall to play center but he's busting his tail trying to get er done. We would be screwed without him.
Every year our OL is "nicked up"......never fails! Lol. Maybe one of these years we'll break that cycle. Recruit, recruit, recruit!

It will take Scott Frost time, due to the offensive line and other culture changes that need to be implemented.

I'd like to see some depth chart changes at some positions. We can't keep doing the same thing and expecting different results. At safety, I'd like to see Deontai Williams and Aaron Williams. At inside linebacker we need to try some new things. I don't think Honas is ready to take over the starting role yet, but we also can't keep rolling with Young. Probably going to have to try a few different things here before we get it right.

At cornerback, I really like the improvement we've shown here. I don't think Bootle was targeted once against Troy which shows he's been doing a damn good job. Still need some improvement from Lamar Jackson, but overall the cb group is much stronger than last year.

On the offensive side, if we have to continue with Bunch, we're going to need more home run hitters on the field than we've had. We need Maurice Washington to be able to take most of the snaps or we need another speed back to be ready to play. If we get behind the chains, I don't have much confidence Bell or Ozigbo are going to be able to get those yards back.

Not a fan. He lost my respect when him and some other of the Reilly/Pelini (Gerry being one) players would be at the casino at midnight during the season. Not much dedication there. Makes me wonder if he is one that Farmer was talking about.
