Interdesting but there is this thing called money. When the money models change then and Only then would Big ten leadership view this as a real option.

This is one of the worst, most unrealistic, most bias article I have seen written in a long time.

No mention of maryland beating texas back to back years?? Io_a has played for exactly the same amount of big 10 championships as NU has since we joined...the records since joining the conference are very close and this io_a team has some pretty bad losses on its record as well... northern illinois... north dakota cmon this guy acts as if io_a is so much better than any other step children that were recently added to the family.. its why i hate io_a fans more than most.. i cant wait to beat the ctap out of this team every year... cmon Frost bring them back..

Also considering Iowa has virtually the exact same BIG10 record as we do since 2011. I don't think they have much say as to who is more or less competitive/ valuable.

"And Nebraska's mediocrity has harmed competitive balance in the conference, to the point where an undefeated Big Ten West champion would possibly be left out of the playoff due to schedule weakness."

lol what? 2015 Iowa and 2017 Wisconsin would not have gotten left out of the playoff had they won B10 championship.
I know... saw that too and immediately knew he was an imbecile.

While I have enjoyed longer road trips to our Big 10 schools (Madison, Chicago), I do miss the days of a short drive to Ames, Lawrence, Manhattan, Boulder, Stillwater, etc...

Not saying we should go back, but those road trips were fun

Obviously Texas was a major factor in why we left, as well as boat loads of more money. However if we were able to pull in a couple more teams to the BIG12, and make the same amount of money, I honestly wouldn't mind going back there. I think we fit better there than the BIG10. As we all know since joining the BIG10 we haven't exactly dominated. We just don't have the established rivalries that come with decades and decades of games. Plus I think the recruiting base in the BIG12 is better for us. I know the odds of it happening are slim to none, but if it even happened I wouldn't mind it.

sadly enough, i took the bait.
interestingly enough, with their 'jesus' coach, they're tied for 36th in wins since he came on the scene...we're 17th in that time frame with questionable coaching. kinda odd.
my only complaint about the b1g is that its primarily the rustbelt.
