1. tell martinez , when he see's big dumb linemen and or linebackers in traffic, he needs to slide. unless like a championship is on the line. he's big enough to handle db's (one at a time in the open field)

Sliding wont prevent what happened to his leg against Colorado but I agree that there are plenty of times where sliding should be a given.

The staff will err on the side of caution, but they won’t treat him like the family china. If the knee is judged to be stable and he has good mobility, he will be running the offense.

if martinez looks that big as freshmen, he's gonna be a monster when he's a senior.
let em get a year two in strength and conditioning, then you could probably run him into the line all game long.
the main thing right now is don't do anything stupid, like getting hurt. the other martinez lost his straight away speed when he got hurt after a couple games, and lost his main talent.

Yep.. Last year was last year.. They lost a lot. It gets annoying that people keep saying "Well they beat LSU'. A new year and a way different team.
And LSU was nothing special last year. I give Troy credit they are a good sound team but it is not like they beat a powerful LSU team.

Regardless of his politics, Zodiac Ted is a deeply unlikeable human being. His race against Beto is much closer than it should be, given the partisan lean of TX. Fellow GOP Senators would be bummed about loss of the seat and if Ted loses, the GOP likely loses control of the chamber. But losing Ted as a colleague would take some sting out of the loss.

when Mr. Cruz was the lone American on the senate floor fighting against commie health care, when graham buckled, when bonher fainted, when mich the senate leader caved, and trump was in hollywood. it was then Mr. Cruz defined himself as the leader.

I actually think we can win in the Big House. It's kind of Ironic, Frost's 1st year at UCF he had to play at Michigan and here we are in year 1 here he has to go play at the Big House again. Frost will have a game plan as he has already played them before. All he has to do is look at game film from both the UCF game 2 years ago and these 1st 3 weeks.

You don't slide with a qb like that. That just takes away one of his biggest advantages.

If a doctor says that no further damage can be done and he is cleared to play, he will play. Should play or will play are two totally different arguments. My opinion is that he will play if cleared. If you want to argue with someone who is saying he should play, be my guest. But that isn't me.
There have been plenty of times a player was cleared by a doctor and came back right away just to reinjure it. Just look at what happened with Rex Burkhead. If he does play this week, I don't want to see him in there for more than a quarter or two.

Awesome. You are still arguing should play vs will play. I stand by my comments, if he is cleared to play by the doctors, he will be in the game. Frost isn't holding him out as an abundance of caution.

This. If the team doctors clear him to play then he will play. Troy is no pushover and we could damn well lose. We need him available and if he is cleared he will play. I doubt the doctors would clear him without being confident in their diagnosis

Yes. If he is cleared, the medical staff has judged that the ligament is good to go, with a risk to re-injury that is not substantially different from pre-injury. The trainers would obviously weigh in as well. For all we know, the situation was caused by the CU player twisting his leg. Tweakage or a slight strain vs. something worse. For all we know, he is clear to play now and the staff is just holding him out of full go in practice to get over some soreness.

Already have 2 threads on the CU player, no need to clutter this one up with it as well. Don't ya think?

Wasn't my intention to clutter, but to point out that if that could have been the main source of the trauma, as opposed to a 320 lineman falling against a pinned leg

I'm not arguing with you there. If he's cleared he probably will play. But if he reinjures it, the blame is on Frost.

They will play him if he’s cleared and looks sufficient.

You can afford a rough season, but you cannot afford a rougher record than last year(whatever the odds of that) as it will kill any momentum in recruiting and outsider excitement.
