Way way way to many dumb mistakes. 3rd and long D is horrendous. The offense looked very vanilla to me, very basic. I was looking for more long balls, Qb runs, trick plays. If Martinez is out any amount of time we are screwed. Frost whole offense game is based around a mobile qb. If we don't have one we basically end up looking like last year.
That being said this is the first game. These stupid mistakes happen last week and we probably still win easily. Game 1 to 2 those types of things get ironed out a bit more. Plus for all we know CU could end up being a top 10 team. If that is the case this doesn't look so bad. If Martinez is ok, I think we will be fine and probably get to 6-7 wins.

Top 10 team?!?! They’re not a top 40 team. Lost 2 of their starting OL, their 2nd best WR. Red shades???

4-8 last year. True frosh QB with a walk-on backup. True frosh K. Two sophomore Ts. A defense that gave up 30+ 8 times last year. A 3rd year HC. They'll probably go 14-1 in 2018, though.

I just don't see the point in wanting to get in first with the negativity. What does this season mean anyway? Nothing... if you believe that we have the right staff. I believe we do and I saw positive signs for the future today. So who gives a F if you're right or wrong with your "look at me!" post? So do you think Frost is the right guy or not? I do.

No...Frost's offense is dictated on guys catching the ball and qbs making accurate throws. Bunch had a third down conversion which could have iced the game that was dropped. And Bunch had a corner route to Morgan that would have won the game. Frost's offense nearly had 600 yards and left 100 on the field due to unforced drops...he does need a speed back though...those two Bell runs should have been touchdowns. Rbs were a bit disappointing.

who the hell cares but you

Nobody cares that the season might ride on how badly Martinez is hurt? He will be a star if he can stay healthy. He and Washington are the difference makers on offense that we have been lacking. These are the guys that put you on "big boy" level. If Martinez is done, there is little to no shot at a winning season.

Ozigbo looked really good. Mo Washington played a little hesitant. If he gets up to speed, would be nice if he could become our feature back as he has the most burst.

Didn't see Martinez get hurt but what I saw of him is that he is the real deal. Hopefully he's not hurt bad enough to cost him the season. I think he racks up a bunch of wins for the huskers before his career is done.

Bell didn't look as fast as I thought he would, unless cu db's are real speedburners
It's interesting how that lack of speed showed up in his first game. His reported measurements out of juco didn't make sense to me when compared to his sparq score out of high school, which was quite low.
