He needs to protect himself more of he ain’t gonna stay healthy.
Seems like they will use him when they need to as a runner, and then restrict his carries when the game is under control. He took a bunch of hits in a short amount of time and then none pretty much the whole 2nd quarter.
His poise in the pocket was remarkable for his first real half of football in almost 2 years. Can't get over how calm he looks even in the face of pressure.
Totally agree. And, miraculously, he had time in the pocket as well. OLine doing their job too.
This is probably hyperbole but he looks as calm as any QB I can remember Nebraska ever having.
On 1 play in the first qtr when he threw the ball away with a defender holding on to him, that shows some maturity right there. In years past the QB likely eats the ball and takes the sack.
