...didn't even utter the words Adrian Martinez during a full hour of the Colorado preview show(how's that possible?) - Big Red Wrap-up. That doesn't bode well for getting good play from the Frosh QB. Hope I'm wrong.

Huh? How does their analysis have any bearing on the game? I'd be more likely to attribute to an oversight, or to thinking that IF the game comes down to the play of Martinez, i.e., rather than the play of the skill positions around him, we are in trouble.

Pardon me if I'm a little surprised when the most talked about position(QB @nebraska) is not mentioned even once during a full hour preview. That's odd to me. Especially when EVERY other position group was discussed. Not one utterance of our freshmen QB, the most important position in our new offense. Could it be because they didn't have anything nice to say? It's a weakness? I hope not.

No, but they've won & lost single games 'cause of them, which is what the thread is premised on.
And you can win/lose games because of dropped passes, fumbles by RB's, crucial penalties, etc., etc., etc. The concept of team will be most necessary today with a true freshman qb starting, EVERYONE will need to do well to beat cu today, thread premise notwithstanding.

Maybe, but what about O line?

If you have a QB throwing to the guys not in red today, I agree. Hopefully that's all firmly in the lap of the Jaguars. THIS guy, A Martinez, can out run penetration and throw it away if it's not a clean shot Mav.

Hey, I'm all in on 2A.M. you guys, I'm simply pointing out the oddity of how an hour long Big Red Football show skips talking about the most polarizing position on the team. Especially considering he's a freshman, making first start in a Scott Frost offense.

Maybe they overhyped him last week with all the talk leading up to the Akron game?

I think you are putting way too much emphasis on this show. It doesn’t really matter what they think right now. If they talked about AM the whole time would it mean he is destined to play great today?

The key is the "Koolaid" term. If the show thought A.M. was a positive talking point they would cover it excessively. They only talk in positivity.

It almost certainly is a weakness to have a starting true freshman qb, who hasn't played since he was a junior in HS, running a new offense that he only started learning since January. Everybody knows its a weakness, and will only get better as long as he is healthy. It is what it is...you have to remember expectations even on game day...nobody can expect us to win more than 6 out of the next 11 games...that is what most people expected 2 months ago before the kool aid facials starting raining down all August...the expectations should be the same...Colorado was always a toss up game, and it still is....

Wrong
Colorado was seen as a W from as far and wide of projections predicted at the beginning of the year. Lot of it was based on Colorado win/loss last year which was almost as bad as us.
