A plan to make up the Akron game.

Just a thought... the only common date between Nebraska and Akron is December 1st. How about working out a deal with the Big Ten to play Akron in Indianapolis at 1:00 and the big ten championship would be at 7:00. A double header where you would honor Tickets from the Akron game. Nebraska would pay rental fee for the use of the indoor facility and the field would be required to empty the stadium. Then fans that wanted to could get tickets for the championship game which would probably be a benefit to the big ten. I would love to go to Indianapolis and watch Nebraska and then the big ten championship game. This of course would require that Nebraska or Akron did not qualify for their conference championship. Just a thought.

If my travel and lodging is covered with my ticket from Saturday I’m in! I’ll need per diem too and I’m not staying in a dorm.

It was stated on sports nightly last night, that the Akron AD's office stated, that IF Nebraska found themselves in need of a 6th win to be bowl eligible, they will play the game.

Which wouldn't be as easy as we think it would.

I think there's a better chance than some think that we will be playing in Indy that day after watching Michigan and Wisconsin play this past week. They can be had.

Again, people shouldn't go on what teams look like in their 1st game. Things can change dramatically later in the season.

I'd rather take the sure thing and try to find an opponent on Oct. 27. What if we need a sixth win and Akron ends up in the championship game? It will be awhile before we know. Frost stated yesterday he wants to play a full slate of games.

That is true but some glaring weaknesses in both of those teams as relates to their talent level were exposed. Frost is smart enough to take advantage of those.

Things that you see as glaring weaknesses may very well be gone in a week or two, because the plays were just a result of mistakes made by players. Teams can look dramatically different in just a few short weeks.

If both of these teams look this weak when we play them, I'll agree with you, but there are teams that always look like they haven't prepared well in week 1, only to come out and look almost unstoppable later in the season. It literally happens EVERY year.

I don't understand why they don't schedule the championship games on the week of Dec 8th.

Give ARMY VS NAVY the DEC 1st weekend....and this allows any makeup games on the Dec 1st weekend....Imagine Florida St VS Clemson needing to be made up to determine who goes to the ACC title game, but conferences don't build in a week of flexibility.

Contacted stub hub for a refund. They said the game is postponed, not cancelled... so no go on refund.

I’d suggest replacing they will with they might.
