My wife made me the happiest Husker fan last night when she gave me a pass on going to a wedding starting at 4:00 pm PDT Saturday afternoon in a Seattle suburb 2.5 hours away. Now I get to watch in its entirety Scott Frost's first game as the Husker head coach. I had apps downloaded and I have SiriusXm in the car but this so much better. I think she would just rather fly over than listen to me whine all the way over in the car.

(The bride overcame childhood leukemia to become a pretty good softball player. She was good enough to be a scholarship player at U Dub and although she did not start she played quite a bit when the Huskies took the title a few years ago. She loves to remind her Dawgs beat the Huskers in Lincoln when she was playing.)

I agree totally with this assessment of weddings and men. I even hated my weddings.... both of them. Lol
And my wife and I also have that same agreement: family weddings only. She finally relented after I ruined her enjoyment of every wedding she dragged me too, by being a total ***.

On a related note... my brother got married in Schuyler in 88 (or was it 87?) on the day Nebraska played UCLA in LA. He was furious at how many wives showed up without husbands. I told him he was a stupid *** to schedule his wedding that day anyway
