I was in high school, had a fried just old enough to buy it in CB (19 was the age) and it was a lil bit cheaper if you bought it warm, so we did what any reasonable person would do and bought it warm and poured it on ice.
You couldn't afford one of those famous styrofoam coolers? we were a stones throw away from Kansas you could buy 3.2 beer at the age of 18 sure thought we had the world by the tail until you found out it was almost 1/2 the alcohol content of regular beer

I went to college before the craft beer craze really got going.
Back then the motto was quantity over quality.
A few not mentioned already: Stag beer, Stroh's, Keystone, Schaefer, Weidemanns, Elsinore
Miller high life and natty light are a couple others that fit that quantity over quality.

I personally still enjoy most cheap beers as I’m not picky and drink more for the ‘effects’. Busch Light, Bud Light, PBR, and occasionally Coors Light. Won’t drink Miller Lite, though, as I drank way too much of that in high school because it was always stocked in my parents fridge. Same goes for Windsor Canadian. Dad used to drink Windsor Waters and the smell of that stuff makes me gag from drinking it so much.

Can say without a doubt though that Beer 30 Light is the worst cheap beer I’ve ever had.

But I don't always like spending a fortune on top shelf stuff. So what is everyone's favorite cheap Beer?

Busch Light. So damn good. Prefer it to any other. Excellence. Most satisfying product on the market, all things considered.

schlitz aint bad. But as mentioned, schlitz gives you the *****.
natty in a keg is fine.
mGD aint bad.
Old Mud and high life must be enjoyed when offered based on principle alone.
Coors heavy and light both good. Prefer the banquet beer to budweiser.

Cant believe people on here are saying ultra lite is a cheap beer. Damn you folks is rich.

keystone is awful. Cant stand that, miller lite, or bud light.

Well, you are a part of the Navy. Where we go, you go. We're one and the same There's Seaman, Airman, Fireman and Marine, as far as I'm concerned. One of very best friends was a Marine. My sister, too. My nephew is deployed to Okinawa right now.

2nd Fleet is, I believe, the North Atlantic. It was deactivated in 2011. Now, with the hostilities with the ever aggressive Russian Federation, we need be able to assist the Europeans, if necessary.

i respect the hell out of the navy, because i am not a great swimmer. and being on a something in the middle of the ocean that could get shot at or attacked would make me a bit uneasy...i'd woulda done it if i had to, but it wouldn't be my first choice.

but i can't help it, some of the sh*t talking that goes on between services cracks me up.

Anyone remember when falstaff made a really cheap beer in a generic white can with black letters beer? You could buy a case for like $5 not sure on the price that was in the late 1970s early 80s
There was a lot of "beer" beer consumed on our floor at UNL in the mid 80s.

I was going to mention Schaefer - not because it was a favorite, but because of how amazingly cheap it was. In the early 80s I think you could consistently get a case for under $3. It was a good beer to have on hand if some people you didn't really like happened to crash your party.

Wasn't it Old Style that made the little grenade bottles with the riddle under the cap?

Mickey's Malt Liquor. Hand grenades. So great. When I lived in SE Alaska it was one of 3 beers to choose from in the general store on our Island.

That Beer Bear for Hamm's was awesome!

The bowling alley near my home when I was a kid had one of the Hamm's beer clocks with the waterfall and rotating "nature scenes". I can only imagine what that clock is worth to a collector these days. I could sit and watch that thing for a long time. So cool.

Ha. You mock me sir! Love it

I love beer, but as I grow older beer does not love me. I cannot stomach (literally) most of the craft beers I love. So I have discovered the old fashioned joy of drinking an ice cold, mass produced, American style pilsner. And my favorite is: the good ol' "King of Beers", Budweiser

Back in the 80's, you could get Rhinelander at the old Suite 9 on Cornhusker for $4.99 per case in warm returnable longnecks. The only beer that gave you a headache while your were drinking it. Bonus though, if you save up 5 cases of empties from when you were flush, you could get a case when you were flat.
