Also on a side note, have there been any quarterbacks transfers that did much recently other than Russell Wilson?

And last year's Super Bowl MVP, Nick Foles, was a transfer from MSU to Arizona

A kid transferred to the University of South Dakota a couple of years ago at QB, tore things up and now is starting in the CFL I think. It's happening more often now.

I don't think transfers FROM Nebraska have done very much. No one lit the quarterbacking world on fire... Cody Green was very very average at Tulsa. Johnny Stanton played a few games at QB for UNLV and is now trying to make an NFL team as a fullback. AJ Bush is now starting at Illinois after Iowa Western and Va Tech. Joe Dailey played a bit at NC State and I think switched positions. Harrison Beck played for like 5 teams and maybe got on the field toward the end. Curt Dukes? I don't think he ever played anywhere.. Brion Carnes? Don't know what happened to him... who am I missing?

A VAST majority of successful transfers left top programs and were behind either older qbs or heisman talent. Gebbia lost out to a true freshman who didn't play his senior year of high school, at a school that just finished 4-8, who hasn't had a qb play in the NFL in.....can't compare to Cam Newton, who was behind Tim Tebow, and Mayfield was an award winner at Texas Tech before he transferred. Really he left for a better school as he was a walk-on @ Texas Tech and could get a full ride at OU. Frost has coached some of the best qbs in the country over the last 7 years, it would serve Gebbia to stay for the remainder of this year, bulk up and learn. He obviously isn't world beater as he has been beaten out in two qb competitions.

There are some who've done really well (as listed in the previous posts), but there are many multiple more who did little to nothing after transferring.
