We will not quit, not run out of gas in the second half and not get boat raced by ANY team in the Big 10.
I would agree with that. I don't see us losing by 30 or 40 points. I bet we keep most losses to 14 or less.

We will lose a few games by 20-30...we are playing some programs that are WAY ahead of us. Wisky, Ohio State have obliterated us when we had veteran teams and were ranked fairly high. Michigan and Ohio State have legendary coaches on par with Frost, they have better classes, and are going for the NC. If we had Riley they might overlook us a bit but with Frost they are going to want to bury us, embarrass us to stunt the growth of the program. A 41-21 loss at Michigan, Ohio State, and a 10 point loss to Wisky sounds about right.

depends on the players and how much fight they have in them, I think the coaches are in place to lead them in the right direction

Lets sit back and enjoy the ride as much as possible. We could go back to the days of Callahan and Riley.
This is Nebraska, we don't just sit back. We are involved 100% and talk about every aspect of football. Thats what makes us the best fans in college football.

Regardless of result, someone will freak the eff out on this board when, with the game on the line, Frost will calls a pass play on 3rd and 1.

To be honest, we've had about a million different posts on how to differently dissect our upcoming performance this year, but carry on. It's gonna be a long week waiting for this Saturday to arrive.

Frost will run into a gauntlet of high level coaching that makes up the Big Ten. And we will learn a lot about how prepared he and his staff are for the challenge.

That's not to say he wont win some of those battles. Teams like Northwestern and Purdue are extremely well coached. Those games will tell me alot about the middle of the pack. Those are bowl caliber teams capable of beating the SEC in a bowl game. Both will fight you tooth and nail for 4 quarters and play a physical brand of football.

Id say the only easier games are Illinois and Akron. Otherwise, he will be challenged every week. Hes not in the AAC anymore.

If Frost doesn't pound the piss out of Purdue, Illinois, Minnesota, and Northwestern this year, it will be a disappointment. Riley was a horrible coach and beat Purdue and lost to Northwestern in OT last year. And he had lost the team by Minnesota.

We should beat all of those teams...this year. Not next year or the following year. This year!

Prediction for Nebraska: This dog is gonna hunt a little bit this year. No we probably won't win 10 games but if we go 8-5 (7-5 overall) with a bowl win I would be standing up and applauding this staff. I mean, c'mon... we went 4-8 last year (and w/out Tre Bryant 3-9).

Predictions for the Big Ten:

- Penn State is a tad overrated and Saquon-less.
- Wisconsin is also a tad overrated but their schedule is close to laughable
- OSU is a little distracted, Urban loses a couple games and Bucknut Nation turns against him
- Michigan edges out a stout Sparty divisionally, then wins Big Ten overall against Wisconsin and makes CFP

Predictions for CFP:
Clemson, Georgia, Michigan, Oklahoma

Clemson wins National Championship. Their D-Line is absolutely ridiculous.

Bold prediction - Nebraska wins 2 out of Michigan, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Ohio State.

I also think we’ll lose one or two we’re not supposed to.

My reasoning is we are just going to be a weird matchup for those teams with our schemes and not considered a good enough team to draw as much attention from those teams as it takes to be prepared for what our offense demands from defenses.

I think we get 1 of those 4 wins for sure. Most likely Wisc or Mich St.
A win against Wisc or MSU

A bad loss to someone ( maybe Troy)

NU beats Iowa by 21+.
I don't know about 21 but I think we beat them this year. People are giving Iowa way to much credit. Yes they dominated us the last 3 years, but lets not forget who our coach was the last 3 years. Previous to that we were 3-1 vs them in the BIG10. All time record we are 29-16. Iowa is nothing special, Nebraska has just been so bad the last 3 years it has made them look like a power house. Now that we have a half competent coaching staff, I don't see them beating us any time soon.

It'll be interesting, but I think we have a better shot against Wisconsin than Iowa. I just think they are so overrated, and Iowa always seems to be a team that gets better throughout the year after they seem to step on their dick early.

I think Scott Frost has everyone’s attention. But that’s just me.
I think you are right, but who has whose attention is probably not something of interest to Frost. The Akron Zips have Frost's attention right now. If the kids have done their work and show up on game days to compete, NU will do all right. Substantial speed upgrade to the roster and the players are stronger and better conditioned. I think we will see a team that looks much, much different that last year's.

I think the team and the fans will be more pumped and motivated to beat Wisc. It is a game that means something. Iowa doesn't usually mean much except that it Iowa and they are annoying.

Wisconsin offense isn’t over rated and one thing everyone needs to remember is they get a extra week to prepare for Nebraska after they play Iowa and Madison is one of the toughest places to win on the road than anywhere in the conference..

I’ll be doing cart wheels if we can knock off Wisconsin in Madison....And we better not have this mindset that Iowa really doesn’t move the volt meter...

Yes, Iowa is a sound & physical program for sure. But I highly doubt they can totally shut down SF's offense (even 1st years). If our defense is really improved somewhat the Hawkeyes are going to be seriously stressed is my bet. Sadly for them, "Smiling Mike" is long, long gone.

Wisconsin's OLine is awesome and that's not good for us. But their defense shouldn't be very vicious and with hopefully our fast/well coached offense just might give them trouble in River City. Maybe a lot of trouble. A high scoring game but a bit of well deserved luck is with us.

Haha...in summary I think we beat them both. Give me another shot of that Kool-aid!

GBR!!

Auuughhhh.....I forgot Wisconsin gets another week to rest & recover before playing us. Ouch!!!

Oh boy, that doesn't help at all.

Taylor and their line is the real deal for sure. Without Fumagalli and with their WR's dropping like flies, it will be a lot more interesting for them on that side of the ball. The extra week will definitely help, I'm just not on the Wisconsin is going to be nationally relevant this year like most of the world. With that said, they will probably prove me wrong.

Yeah. I'm interested to see how the year plays out. Our O looks pretty good on paper, but this is a new team and all of our QB options haven't played a snap of D1 ball. I've got a koolaid IV in, but just hope everything plays out. In Frost I trust.

I predict that IF Gebbia transfers it will cost us a game somewhere this year either because of having to start a walk on OR because of having to run him out there due to an injury during a game.
