Eric was only 5'11" Mo is 6'1. Come to think of it, Mo has shown flashes of AP as well. Now Imagine Mo 220-225 and built the Duvall way without losing a step of speed, quickness or shiftyness and catches the rock really well which he already does!

I think we are all going to have to accept it. This kid is the real deal. I know it’s been a while and we aren’t sure how to handle this sort of thing, but we will figure it out.
Thanks Headcard. I want to believe, I truly do. We can have elite players. We can be relevant. We can act like the blue blood program that we are. Nebraska football can be great again. I am starting to see it. RollingLaugh

Which is all the more reason he should redshirt, at a loaded RB position.

You do not know what you are talking about.

Hey c2o, how much do you weigh?

Subtract 10%, and call me after 6 games in the Big 10.

1,2,3,4

P.S. I absolutely love this kid, and hope proves me wrong. If he's "that good" Holy Christ!!!

What exactly would the goal be in redshirting Washington? If he's even a fraction of what he appears to be, he's not going to be at NU as a fifth-year senior. Even 6 or 7 touches per game would make more sense than wasting a year on the bench.

He can get hurt. He runs upright and needs real strength/speed to ensure he doesn't. My take. Ban me.

Honestly, I've been posting here for so long listening to the peanut gallery, I don't care anymore.

We graduate RBs, this kid comes back in 2019 at 205lbs+ and is an absolute force. It's the right call for him, for sure.

You don't get paid for being a 3-5 touch freshman RB at Nebraska.

He's not going to redshirt unless he gets injured. You can take that to the bank. The kid has said many times already that his dream goal is to get to the NFL as quick as he can. He doesn't want to redshirt.

Amazing how desperate Nebraska football is for a hint of real "greatness," no matter how raw and not necessarily in the best interest of the Program to throw out there without thinking about the kid's best interest.

Not The Nebraska Way

If he says so. Fine. Bad idea.

How did we leap from me asking a simple question to you squealing like a stuck pig about being banned?

And if you don’t care whether you post here anymore, that pretty much makes it unanimous. The rest of us stopped caring many, many bottles ago.

I take exception with a superior talent that doesn't really benefit us this year.

Tre. OZ. Wilbon. Bell.
I get your point and I normally agree that you want to red shirt players that have a lot of potential but not yet good enough to start. However I think Maurice is going to be too good to keep off the field this year. Plus I'm getting tired of the mediocre running back play we've had the last few years and want to see some guys with some real talent back there.

Another case against redshirting him is I think we're going to recruit plenty of talent at the RB position. I think Ronald Thomkin's film looks even better than Washington's and I think he's going to be a special player as well.

Who was the last good RB that redshirted his freshman year at Nebraska? Helu, Burkhead, Ameer, Bryant all played. Guys like Ahman, Alexander, etc played on loaded teams. I think you might have to go all he way back to Calvin Jones to find a great RB that redshirted at Nebraska.

Plus I hardly think we are loaded at RB. This staff wants to use a lot of guys and spread the carries around and guys like Wilson and Oz are far from proven and Bryant has knee issues.

All play at a mature weight. This kid could get broken in half at 170.

For an expected 5th or 6th string back, Oz and Wilbon are pretty proven. I'm comfortable if either one of them gets a few carries a game.

I honestly think I am the only torch bearer left, campaigning for the Nebraska Way.

You have used that phrase repeatedly, so what really does "the Nebraska way" mean? Can you boil it down to a single sentence? One that makes sense too.
