I was flipping through the channels and the local NBC had the Saints and Jaguars game on and Lee was just put in the game. Wasn’t very pretty he was off on every throw and then got sacked 3 times and strip sacked by a DE as he brought it back to throw and recovered by the Saints. I wish the kid well but it wasn’t a pretty start to his NFL career.

Read some things coming out of camp regarding Lee, methinks his stay in the NFL will be predictably brief. Seems like a great kid, he will do well in life.

Jerry Jones “that guy is a turnover machine”.....
I hope he gets it together, quickly

If I remember correctly...

The reason he sucked at Tulane was because of the players around him...

The reason he sucked at NU was because (Riley Fan Boys never did say why)

The reason he sucks with the Jags?

Something will have to change if he is to make it in the NFL. I'm just a casual observer like most everyone else but he's not an NFL QB.in my opinion.

Regardless of how long/short his NFL career ends up, the guy was very classy and gracious while at Nebraska, and I think most here would agree. I've no doubt that he will be a successful person after his days with the NFL.

I will not tip him more than 20% for the pizza he delivers

He really just holds the ball to long. In the NFL (and major college) you have to get rid of it fast.
I was watching some film of the team from last year to prep for this season. On top of being a statue in the pocket he was often off balance and would back away from contact and alter his throws when he was pressured in the slightest. The best qbs stand in there and rifle it or scramble out of trouble reset and shred. Tanner cant do that. Its why he'll never make it in the league. Ill admit I was never fooled more by a player than I was with Tanner

I wish more people would have this mindset. Unfortunately, there are some people who seem to take some perverse joy out of watching him fail. I guess acting with class off the field means nothing to some people.

Noteworthy? What is it you're looking for? He stayed out of trouble, he didn't run and hide when he received criticism and seemed to be well-liked by his teammates. Is that "noteworthy" enough for you? The fact you even ask that question indicates to me that you are looking for something to criticize him for and you are part of the problem I am talking about.

Isn't staying out of trouble expected? As a fan I appreciate he gave his best effort but I wouldn't lavish praise for off the field stuff unless it's noteworthy. Did he graduate?

People want to find someone to blame for the disappointment of the past few years so anyone directly tied to Riley is going to be villainized. Unfortunately for Lee, he is sort of an easy target because he didn’t live up to the hype.

Shoot, some people had him going 1/1 in the draft. The hype was insane...mostly because of the Human Lotto Ticket and Billy Deveany

That's not noteworthy, that would describe almost every player in our program.

Although I think Lee is a long shot to stick in the NFL, I wish him all the best.

And he's not the first to feel the backlash from a few Husker fans who feel as though Lee getting cut by the Jags will prove that that were right about something. There was a butthurt idiot here last year who didn't want Tommy Armstrong to make the Vikings' practice squad as a safety - because he was a lousy QB at Nebraska!!!

I dont blame Lee as much as I blame the media for basically touting him as the next Tom Brady. I have no idea what these guys were watching in practice but they dropped the ball hard and put Tanner in a position to be vilified by the fan base. Hype like that is going to come with serious criticism when it falls flat on its face and Tanner didnt create the hype. It was created by a bunch of guys who clearly had no clue what they were talking about.
