Ugh, I've been slowly making my way through old games and am about a third of the way through 2000, that's why it stuck in my head. D'oh.
2000 at home vs. Iowa was a sneaky close game. Ended up 42-13, but we scored 2 TDs in the last couple minutes (the last one being a Troy Watchorn Pick 6), plus a pseudo-Hail Mary to end the first half (for some reason Iowa did a CB blitz when all they had to do was keep a pass from being caught, and we ended up with better numbers near the goalline). 5 offensive TDs for the Big Red that day, all passing TDs.
1999 was also a close game for much of the afternoon, just 7-0 NU at the half. Then we poured it on.
Those were the early Ferentz days, and they had depth issues.
