It won't happen, but not for his lack of trying. Bo and Carl are probably whipping doughnuts in some guy's yard out of excitement for just thinking about it.
Bo, in my opinion, will never get a top school offer for the rest of his life. Youngstown is about as good as it gets for him. Again, JMO!
I would guess their short list would look something like this:

Can you imagine if coach Meyer gets fired with cause. Loses salary, buy out AND your wife's salary too probably. Neither one are employable. Who would touch them with a ten foot pole if fired.

They fire Tressel for being shady and then they hire another shady coach. They are getting what they deserve.

The loss of income would hurt for sure, but if they’ve been smart, they should have a nest egg to fall back on.

Now to followup, take out of the equation IF they should be fired andfor what, but can you imagine going from however many million a year they're making and living at the stadium to having nothing to do and no income. Hopefully they have been banking alot of his salary.
ESPN would hire him again. And eventually, every scumbag coach who wins a lot gets another chance somewhere.

Texas would be one stinker of a season away from hiring Meyer, if he was available.
His situation is not as awful as Briles or Paterno....worst case he sits a year and then some big time program snaps him up. Jmo
Yes, sitting a year and getting another coaching gig is decidedly better than trying to put a resume together and interview when you're dead. The acceptance rate of those type of candidates is roughly .17%, with Bill Snyder being the only coach to ever do so..
Only Mary Pat would think that Pelini ever had a chance at this job now. OSU is NOT going to take Pelini with his PR baggage and bad media relations reputation. They've got boatloads of money to hire just about whoever they want and they're not going to take someone tainted like that.
They certainly should...They are a top 2-3 program in the country...Matt Campbell and Tom Herman would both feel like “settling” to me if I were a Buckeye fan
Does Herman’s Ohio St background hurt him for this job? He was on Meyer’s staff, hand picked by Meyers and coached with the alleged abuser for a few seasons. I have to think he doesn’t get a whiff, If Meyer is fired.
I agree Dabo is building a monster at Clemson but the allure of OSU he would have to consider a person would think
