I think that is the new proposed rule. Don't think it has been implemented (or approved?) yet.

If you are comparing him to Tanner Lee, TL still had to sit out a year, he just got an extra year added onto his eligibility

Colorado is rebuilding mode again, after falling to 5-7 in 2017.

They do have a returning QB. They beat Colorado State 17-3 last year.

Colorado State needs to break in a new QB coming off Mike Babo's fourth season. Offense is down for the Rams.

Colorado isn't Oregon State, like last year's season opener for the Rams, where they beat the Beavers 58-27.

In 2016, the Buffaloes played in their first Pac 12 title game. Though, coach Mike MacIntyre has had some off the field issues in his staff.

They won 10 games in 2016 for the first time, since 2001. Nebraska is certainly the program that appears to be on the stronger trajectory, than Colorado.

The Buffaloes open with 2 games away from Folson Field, then three straight at home. An 0-2 start isn't good for momentum.

Beat an improving Cal team last year 44-28. But, only 4 starters are back on offense, while 7 return on defense, along with both kickers.

Colorado State is only 4 and 4 on offense and defense.
