hotels downtown are obviously all booked for gamedays as of now but Is there a certain time a few open up or am I just SOL at this point?

Word of advice moving forward for places like Lincoln would be to call a year in advance or the first part of January...

Always can call the hotels and stay in touch with them but I would think if someone cancels out it’s less than a couple of weeks before the game

I would suggest booking an Airbnb option, at least as a backup. Most are fully refundable if you cancel a few days in advance (although you need to confirm that). That way if nothing opens up, you have a place to stay.

here is the deal with hotels on gameday in Lincoln and the surrounding area. ALL the hotels will run you around $350 and up for a night & they make you book two days not just one. My brother for the spring game got this first hand. Called 12 hotels and all had same deal. Most were in the $400 range and two nights were mandatory.

I have decided to rent our three bedroom house for game-days. We are only 22 miles from the stadium and our price is only $600 cash and we will do it for only 1 night, which is a total savings of at least $100 - $250.

Stay out by the airport, or out on 27th near the interstate. We stayed at the Homewood Suites last year 3 times, and it was well worth it, and it was about $175 a night.

Got you beat. About 4 miles from the stadium.

Damn If hotels are that expensive on gamedays, I should actually look into renting it out. Just no Iowa fans. :)

There’s a place in Omaha called the Satellite Motel if you don’t find anything in Lincoln. It’s basically the Bellagio of L street.

They should put a sign saying The Bellagio of L Street right out front.
Except they should spell Bellagio wrong.
