My guess is, because he and the Michigan football team depart for France today.

He coaches 2018 and 2019 in Ann arbor, he is gone after that unless
2-2 vs tosu and Mich St or better, and
A Division title, and
A top ten finish.

Don't think he get those, being a Harbaugh isn't cute when you can't win the games you're brought in to win, the rivalry games, the cinfeconfe title games. He won't so he'll be gone soon enough .

don't think so. you can take any player discontent and multiply it by 10. there are plenty of big donors that would drop out until the guys who fire him are gone.

C'mon, how can anyone hate on Harbaugh? He is irascible! He is like the best example of "almost good" at every level. He is the greatest at coming 2nd, 3rd, or even 4th place there ever was! You know his mom and dad were the kind that kept his 10th place ribbons in a trophy case.

All this while being a first class a-hole! If only that behavior would win championships. We'd have two more crystal balls and Peelini would still be coaching here.

Did you really just mention Bo and Jim in the same sentence and compare them? Did I read that right???? From the guy who brought us the yoga pants thread? Yikes.

Will be interesting to see how Frost’s 1st couple of years at Nebraska compares to Harbaugh’s at Michigan. Harbaugh took over a program that had won 12 games combined the prior 2 years. Frost is taking over a program that won 13.

The career paths of the 2 will be an interesting comparison.

Yes, that will be very, very interesting. We're talking two damn good HCs here. Biased as I am, I think SF has an even higher potential.

Harbaugh has greatly improved their game results but hasn't quite broke through to greatness yet. We'll see. Frost has a brutal 1st year schedule but it still shouldn't be difficult to get more than four wins.

Again, very interesting. Two traditional powerhouses trying to rebound.

agree ... Harbaugh averaged 10 wins per year his first 2 years and has 28 wins in 3 years.

Yep, he was a HUGE upgrade for Michigan. Just like us in a desperate scenario where all Michigan fans knew quite well they "must" have a home run HC hire or risk becoming a Minnesota clone. They got it.

Just like us.

agreed.. Just seems the overall vibe here (perhaps it is a vocal minority) is that people aren't real impressed by Harbaugh's results in his first three years.

I wonder if the same sense of being underwhelmed will prevail here if Frost merely matches his accomplishments the next couple of years. Frankly I would be thrilled but apparently others think differently.

So very sadly, I think you can bet the ranch that a large percentage of NU fans will be bitching, sobbing & whining endlessly. Just like Bo winning 9 or 10 games for seven consecutive years and being hated with massive passion. Or Frank winning a conference championship, playing in a NC game....same thing. They'll scream bloody murder until we get the next Clownahan/Smiling Mike.

Imho, by far, our best hope is that HCSF has some terrific success within two or three years.

"Your shower shoes have fungus on them. You’ll never make it to the bigs with fungus on your shower shoes. Think classy, you’ll be classy. If you win 20 in the show, you can let the fungus grow back and the press’ll think you’re colorful. Until you win 20 in the show, however, it means you are a slob.”

This quote makes me think of Harbaugh. The stuff he does when he wins big, people will excuse, when he doesn't they will find it to be what it is and what he is.

For me, don't see the attraction. If meat chicken ends up getting to a conference title game in the next two years I'll be shocked and will admit I was wrong. With Patterson now eligible, the excuses list gets smaller and smaller.

Hardcase is basically a big giant a-hole that tries to cover up his a-holishness by pulling lots of cute stunts to appear less a-holish. I have hated him since he was a QB in the NFL because...he was an ahole back then too.

Disagree with this, if only for who Frost is. A native son who is a proven winner. That can’t be said for Bo, and it really couldn’t be said for Frank either (first time head coaches for both of them). The fan base is not going to be moaning and groaning for the next flashy coach. We have our next flashy coach and the fans are going to give him every opportunity to prove it.

Will people complain when he doesn’t play for the conference championship every year? Sure, just like they complained that Tom couldnt win the big one. It’s the nature of the beast. But the fan base will not be calling for frost’s head anytime soon in my opinion.

I'm sorry to hurt your feelings. So, you think Jimbo has done any better than Bo? It doesn't matter if you like him on a personal level. What exactly has he accomplished? Me personally, I think he's a douchbag. He doesn't have the hardware to go with his mouth.

I don't see how your love for Harbaugh is in the same level as yoga pants. :D

Agree. Frost will and should be given time. The fan base won’t scrutinize him too harshly. In fact I think quite the opposite will occur.

As has been posted on the board many feel that 3 years in Harbaugh has been underwhelming despite winning 10 games his first 2 years and a 28 win three year total. He has gone to a New Years 6 bowl game and was in the national championship discussion going into final game of the season his second year.

If Frost accomplishes the same I highly doubt the fan base will feel that he has underperformed. If he doesn’t match these results and a direct comparison occurs I suspect a number of qualifiers will be offered up as to why. He will get every benefit of doubt which is good thing.

People are scrutinizing Harbaugh so severely because they don’t like him. That won’t happen with Frost. If you look purely at results I think Harbaugh has done a pretty good job and will be interested to see if Frost can match those results.

ESPN's Marty Smith just reported from the Paris trip. But there were no subtitles, so I have no Earthly idea what he said.
