If Nebraska has the Big 12 schedule, inevitably they pick up 3 quad one wins at least because the Big 12 was littered with quad one teams. Yet those quad one teams were all so vulnerable. Texas Tech, KU, WVU, OU, all had so many losses that didn’t seem to hurt them as much as they helped the team that beat them.
There’s a math problem here.
That's the thing though. It wouldn't be a wash. That's exactly what the committee just told us. You can lose 11 or 12 games in conference, as long as you hold onto a handful of marquee wins, you're golden (unless your name is Oklahoma State - who was absolutely robbed).Nebraska might pick up a few quad one wins if they played in the Big 12 but they would have lost more conference games. It would have been a wash.
Everyone needs to stop and take a step back to relax a little bit. It is time for Husker Nation to focus on more important questions...What play will Scott Frost call first in the Spring Game?

So we would have automatically went from 13 wins to 8 ? I don't think so. We might have done better in the B1G if we didn't have to play 3 out of 4 of the top teams once at their place. Only played Michigan at home. Hmm, what happened in that game at Pinnacle ?Nebraska might pick up a few quad one wins if they played in the Big 12 but they would have lost more conference games. It would have been a wash.

Like I said in the other thread, its the same as the sec football bias.If Nebraska has the Big 12 schedule, inevitably they pick up 3 quad one wins at least because the Big 12 was littered with quad one teams. Yeah hes wrong. I dont know how people cant see it.That's the thing though. It wouldn't be a wash. That's exactly what the committee just told us. Nope.Bottom line is if NU beats KU or even creighton they are in.. they didnt so they dont go.. they lost to illinois as well late so no excuses..they didnt get it done. The only thing they can do is schedule better teams in the future cause us saying we got robbed...well it just doesnt do a thing for this years team
Nope.
It wouldnt have got us in.
16 teams ahead of us.
1 game doesnt change the lack of respect shown us, doesnt make up for it.
We barely made the NIT. Second to last at large.
I agree we should have won our games, but theres zero evidence that beating KU gets us in, while there is much to the contrary.
Like I said in the other thread, its the same as the sec football bias.
They all start the year ranked, and when they beat eachother they either move way up because they beat ranked teams...or when they lose they barely drop because again, it was to a ranked team.
Its about the pre and first month of the season. Thats all that matters evidently.
Eventually the media and pundits have their favorites and that trickles into the people making the decisions.
And again, its more than Nebraska. Much more.
I understand. I dont think it would have mattered with a committee that used zero logic.Go look at the final RPI.. we would have been in the high 40’s with a KU win. And ahead of K-State,Florida St and texass who all where on the bubble and made it in.
I understand. I dont think it would have mattered with a committee that used zero logic.
The fact that we were one of the last ones in the nit shows me that one more win wouldnt have mattered. They do nit respect us.
Please do not confuse this with me saying we should not have been in with another win.
Im saying the evidence shows we would not have been selected. The NCAA is a joke and proved it.
From appearance it does seem that if Neb has defeated both Creighton and KU they would have been in the dance. Where they are seeded in the NIT seems not to be related to whether they were on the bubble for the Dance.
Yeah hes wrong. I dont know how people cant see it.
I agreeTonight’s game proved that the NCAA Tournament Committee made the correct assessment that this Nebraska team, regardless of current conference membership or conference record, didn’t earn a bid to the Big Dance.
