Wow.
Chick fil a is the best fast food joint ever.
From food, to service, cleanliness, and overall experience it cant be topped.
What its done to the fast food industry is phenomenal. So many other places having to up their game. Look at wendys and even mcdonalds having to respond.

But to each his own as you said.

You're responding to a person who really doesn't care for fast food at all. Some stuff is ok but in general it's not my thing.

Runza is a local legend. But, I had many non-local friends in college and grad school that HATED it. I guess hamburger and cabbage is a Nebraska thing. Decent burger though.

Man, I really don't get the whole Chick worship. I always heard how great it was and had it for the first time when I was in South Carolina a few years ago. Papillion got one about a year later and I have ate there TWICE in that time. The service is fantastic, but the sandwich is a regular old processed chicken patty IMO. I just don't get it. I go to Popeyes for my fast food chicken fix. Of course, I can't stand Runza either.

No problem with you not liking it, but it's false that it's a processed chicken patty. It's real chicken breast that is hand breaded at the restaurant. Seems pretty obvious to me it's real chicken and not processed mystery meat.

Yeah I don't like the stuff at all but it's not some processed chicken. It's just....fast food chicken is all..

The Runza in Mission, Kansas closes in February and now the Runza in the Student Union. I still have close to $50 in Runza gift cards.

I am now officially done with all of this.

Also closed on Sunday, my kids absolutely love chick fil a and line around building most of the time

Which I get, but I don’t get. Chick Fil A us all over down here in DFW. They aren’t new here, and every damn one has a huge line 6 Days a week. I contribute to the problem, but in my defense, I’m a transplant who didn’t have it for 30 years

Chick-fil-a has developed a marketing plan on college campuses I believe. Some schools have had push back, because of the corporate philosophy known.

I eat fast food about twice a year, and then usually Arby's. My bank shares a 100-space parking lot with a Chick-Fil-A and it is a real mess. It is hard to find a space because of the restaurant traffic, and when I do I can't leave the parking lot because people in the drive-thru line block traffic. So a few years back I decided to see what the hullabaloo was all about and bought a sandwich meal. Count me as unimpressed. Not that it was bad, but I didn't see much difference between them and an Arby's chicken sandwich.

Haven't had Chik Fil A, have heard a lot of people say it's overrated. I don't know how good a chicken sandwich can possibly be to get people that wound up about it.

Steak n Shake is decent, but it's always weird to me how it's full service if you go in. I was thinking of Shake Shack at first, we have that out here and I like it.

People always overhype fast food. Portillos is the big thing for local fast food out here and it's fine, but people talk about it like your life isn't complete until you've eaten there.

Portillos. To be honest, I thought my life was complete. Then I ate a big beef dipped and realized it was not.

Sounds like it is time for you to switch banks. Winking

I don't get the Chick-Fil-A phenomenon either. I went years hearing from everyone how great it was. Finally my town got one so I waited a few weeks until the line wasn't out to the street and went to check it out. It wasn't bad food but it definitely wasn't as great as everyone led me to believe. Honestly if you gave me the choice of the spicy chicken sandwich from Chick-Fil-A or Wendys, I would take the one from Wendy's every time. I get putting one on campus though. It's going to be way more appealing to college kids from all around the country. Stop selling them in Memorial Stadium though and then we have a serious problem.

The new Wendy’s sandwich is trash. It used to be good before it became a crap patty.

Chik-Fil-A is good, not knock your socks off though, the service is outstanding, and it is a classy set up.

The godless politic which notoriously hostages public universities and clashes with CFA corporate beliefs are not truth proven, but theory and subjective. Selling chicken sandwiches on UNIVERSITY, a place of and for ideas, property shouldn't come with a belief filter.

I believe Chik-Fil-A is way overrated and overpriced for the portions/taste. Yes I have eaten there a few times so I am “qualified” to have an opinion. I guess I am a simple man. Winking

I am not a Chick fila fan but I don't think it is horrible, I just usually get burgers, tacos or pizza.

It is amazing how many people claim to hate it and think it is gross...yet the place does a gazillion dollars of business...

Just like everyone posts that models aren't hot.

I don't hate them. I just don't see the excitement over food that is not yummy. I feel the same about In 'N Out Burger.

They should let you out more often. Do they require you to have a chaperone?

Nah, they just attach a homing device. :D

Their cottage fries are the absolute worst excuse for fries ever foisted on the public. If I'm going to eat crappy, I'm heading for McDonald's or Wendy's fries.

Not to mention that I won't contribute to a bigot's pocketbook.

If I really want to completely founder myself, give me one of those massive Hardee's burgers. That's my go to joint when I want to completely destroy any semblance of a reasonable diet.

I used to relish my trips to Springfield, MO, because it meant that I was going to get to go to Steak and Shake. One of my favorite fast food places to eat. Not only are their shakes phenomenal, but they have those really small fries that are always crunchy. Some of the best fries of any restaurant. If there is one fast food joint that I would love to see come to Omaha, it would be Steak and Shake.

How can any red blooded American boy not love In N Out??? I used to go with a group a couple times a year to all-day aerobic/weightlifting/yoga clinics. Afterward we were about dead and went to In N Out. I always got the 3X3 with a double order of fries. It was the only time I let myself eat their delicious, ultra high-calorie, artery-clogging food. Since we don't do the clinics anymore, I haven't been there in years. I'm salivating as I type thinking about it (seriously).
