blowing out Sparty and Purdue help us showing Michigan is the hottest team right now and playing by far the best in the conference.

...or does it matter?

Michigan is on fire. They were RED HOT against us on Friday. They are still sizzling against Purdue.

Please advise. Thanks!

No,we needed show up and didn’t.

That was a must win game Friday it wasn’t for Sparty and Purdue who were mostly playing for seeds in the tournament.
Agree it would have been one thing to play it close. But NU got handled by Michigan. They needed a win in the tourney and didn't get it. Nit bound unfortunately. But it actually feels good to feel disappointed that we are in the NIT. Most years I'm satisfied with the Nit

Helps. Gives Nebraska a win over the hottest team in the country and somewhat excuses the beat down.

All moderate stuff here but if you had to hope for one outcome, it’s this one.

Yes. Although only moderately, it does somewhat show that the team that manhandled them, basically manhandled everyone they played in NY.

I appreciate you’re optimism but other teams have better resumes and it kills me that we went 13-5 in the B1G and Will be left out of the NCAA.

Well...lets examine it.

2 months ago NU beat Michigan (at home) by 20.

In the last 3 weeks NU is what, 2-2? Losing to Illinois and getting smoked by Michigan on a neutral court.

Well it cant hurt, only help but I think its a done deal. It is sad that we will get left out with a tremendous conference record but we have no history no clout. If Michigan had our identical record and won and loss the exact same games as us, I think they would get it with this resume. Is what it is. Maybe a nice run in the NIT will be good for this team to grow some more for next year. Its kinda all how you approach it. If they dont want to play hard in the NIT, we will have an early out.

Lol. It does not matter. Time to deal with it. I'm sure the inevitable Husker fan social media whining will ensue next Sunday, but it ain't happening people.
Time to put your big boy pants on and move on.
I’m glad our fans have thrown in the towel before the committee has.

I still stand by the fact that this team has the talent to win a game in the tournament. Maybe the committee won’t let them in, but it won’t complwtely shock me if they do.

And no, I’m not dumb. I recognize the resume isn’t that strong, but I also believe that this talk of the big 12 getting 9 of 10 in is a joke. I also think the SEC is getting way too much credit this year.

Lastly, the committee is known for one or two controversial selections each year. Until next Sunday goes by without hearing Nebraska’s name, I’ll hold out hope. It’s not blind hope either. This team is really good and I won’t let a loss to the eventual conference champion change my opinion on the matter.

No matter what they have made a slim looking year preseason to be where they are now 22 wins into a successful year no matter what. Happy either way they made good strides this year

You do that. Nobody here is saying they couldn't win a game, btw. You can keep being pissed at fans, or step back into reality any time. That's a you problem.
Btw, with Tim's track record, the committee knows if they let them in, we likely wouldn't show up, and get beat by 20 at the least.

Big 12 is not getting 9 teams or 8. But I hate to say it the KU game ended up being the game we needed the most and I was right it was going to cost us at the end....

Love to have the committee and you prove me wrong.

Jim Delany gets booed when announced at B1G Tourney. Deserves every ounce of it. Stupid fker.
Probably by fans who had to drop $400+ per night on a hotel room.

To see their team play.in a tournament that the rest of the country ignored.

We might be left out but people need to quit bitching and moaning about a team that finished 22-10 and 13-5 regular season conference record. Good grief man. Nice improvement this year! Let's see what happens. GBR!

Not me, not the way the Huskers played their last game.
Oh I’m just playing... here’s my athletic life:
- Reds.... perpetual stink
- Husker football.... hopeful but unproven
- Husker hoops.... well.....

So you see, I’m just in a funk!⚾️

Yeah, gets booed a lot. He has made a lot of money for the conference there is no doubt about that...but this idea for the tourney to be held in NYC was brutal...

You are lucky enough to have 8 schools about 5 hours away from Chicago...and you decided not to use that.

Be smart...the IHSA playoffs are right around this time...host those freaking games at the United Center...do them before, in between or after the Big Ten games and embrace the awesomeness.

I'd say it helps us. You want your competition to win all their games. It makes your losses and wins look better. Michigan just gelled at the right time. If NU lucks out and gets in I'm not sure they have much momentum. Will they find it in time?

I thought Miles did a pretty good job all year . . . BUT - If I understand right, He nixed a shoot-around Friday morning, which at least would have familiarized the team to the court. I don't know when the team got to NY, but it seems like the timing might not have been optimal. They looked like they were scared to death coming out Friday. Why not give them every possible chance to get used to the whole situation?

Saw this.
Such a head scratcher.
I give Miles credit for admitting his mistake, but what a dumb one.
But im sure it has nothing to do with the shooting woes. Nope. Who needs to practice in a gym youve not played in before a big game???

Michigan was 3-19 from three in their game against Iowa. Huskers might have been better off having a five seed.
