Yeah, "lucky" was probably a poor choice of words on my part. All I was trying to say is that Mandel is correct about our weak schedule. I, unlike some others on here, am not so certain our record would be as good as it is if we had played a tougher schedule. But hey... that is all speculative. We are a much better team this year than we have been. And yet, other than Michigan, when we had a chance for a quality win to boost our RPI, we pissed it down our legs. Kansas was close. Yep. And we lost. Like we always seem to do. Call me cynical or uninformed. I don't care. I have followed Husker hoops since 1966 and you know what I see this year? Just a better version of "more of the same". And I think Miles is a lousy game coach. You've bought the east cost media's propaganda hook line and sinker. Do you think Creighton wants to play NU right now? No way and then just beat Nova. Good heavens give NU and Miles some credit. 22 wins with a number of top 100 recruits and "he's lucky". Bullsh##. We should be so "lucky" every year. .
Just my humble opinion. I respect your optimism. I do. Wish I had it. But when it comes to Husker hoops I am not getting my hopes up until they actually, finally, win some **** when it really matters.
I really hope they win a few games in the tourney, get into the dance, and win a few there too. Can you imagine the excitement we will have if this team makes it to the 16? I hope for that. Just ain't expecting it.
