I am a die hard husker hoops fan but yes I am a Sooner football fan. Have been since I was 7 my dad was a season ticket holder for football but he always came home or was upset the day after thanksgiving. I started liking the Sooners when Thomas Lott was qb and I have stuck with them thru thick and thin for 41 years. I haves lived in Nebraska my whole life and wouldn’t have it any other way. My father passed away the year before Dr. Tom won his first Natty. He also passed away the day the Huskers won the Big 8 b-ball tourney. I can still remember the conversation like it was yesterday. He says I don’t like Danny Nee and never will give me back Cip or Iba and I said no way this guy can recruit and get the job done. Later that day he passed away still think of him everyday and that last conversation he was a true husker fan to the fullest. I Just like the Husker b-ball team the most and I will root for the football as well. So for being so long but that is how my user name came across NU B-ball SOONER fb. And by the way screw the Jays

Well, as much as I PERSONALLY agree, I've raised two sons in Kansas who root for the Huskers MIGHTILY in football BUT turn their hoops loyalty to the Jayhawks and Shockers...I'll take what I can get!:)

I'm in Sooner land right now on OU campus in fact. I went to see them play Holy Cross, my dad and I got in for free and it was a lot of fun. Everyone here has been fantastic to me even though I'm wearing m6 Cornhusker hat all around. Good people down here!

I've only been to one football game in Norman, but I have to say we were shown the utmost hospitality and had a great time. We won of course.

The first step is to get help.....You realize you're dishonoring your father by rooting for the Sooners? Shed the guilt. Lose the Sooner gear. It IS the right thing to do.;)

He would never want me to quit on my team. It was fun going back and forth with him. He was good with it but I know one thing for sure he would not approve of the husker football fans and ex players being bluejay b-ball backers and I don’t either. At least I went out of state to have a team.

You’re talking out both sides of your mouth.

He tolerated it because you're his son. No way was he "okay with it". He just tolerated it and figured as long as you weren't going to jail for it he had better keep his mouth shut. That's not how being a Husker fan works.....He probably flips over in his grave every time you throw on a Sooner cap.

He turned over in his grave when they hired Peterson and Callahan!

Thats fine, I’m sure he’s very happy now Frost is here. And come on man. Heck I could see Husker football fan and OU basketball fan. Vise versa, that’s just odd. And I agree, you kind of feel for OU because of one player, then never flipped back when that player was gone. There’s been players that I like that played for other teams but I never gave up on my Huskers because of one player. No offense, sounds like you did give up on your team, the Huskers, for a player. Two way door brotha.
