Most previous identities have been blow up (Blacklisted) by the pathetic performance of our hallowed football team (and mostly, LEADERSHIP), and the requisite insanity contained therein.

I disagree what you are seeing is some people recycling back to previous handles. Some handles have been around for 7 years but are only recently active. Still recycling though

All my previous "handles" were killed, mostly because we, as a collective fanbase, we were losing our minds.
Blacklisting like it would revitalize the fanbase, and get rid of the "bad guys."
Now, we know who the bad guys were...
Don’t care just stating facts. People stopped posting for whatever reason, switched names, and are now coming back.
I had people offer me money for my handle as I have developed it into a type of mythical God. I turned them down.

I find you funny and get your sense of humor. You shouldn't have to explain your jokes.
Some people are sensitive so I have make sure to let them know when it is sarcasm or jokes. I don't know what moniker Tom or his wife are using now days and didn't want to get called out for throwing shade at them.
The only way to be sure if you don't want people to be confused is to use smilies.

I will say like 10 years ago the board changed software or whatever, and Roz invited me back to the site after a long hiatus. I think he needed my IP address or something, because the first time I got on he banned me. Very happy the board isn't as clique-ish as it was back in the olden days.
