Anyone see Black Panther yet?

It was dope. A lot more depth and philosophical conflict than any Marvel movie I’ve ever seen. Michael B. Jordan is the man. Highly recommend.

The 42 comic book movies every year for the last 20 effing years has burned you out?? No way.
Hollywood has become fat and lazy.
I see them because it makes my wife happy. I said no to this and the latest Thor movie. I just can't do one of these every month. All they do is trade blows with whatever their power is until the lead character wins in the end. Zzzzzz...

Yup, the same storyline over and over and over. Oh but the special effects make the movie. Ugh.. You're right, Zzzzzzzzz.
I do think its cool for young black children to have superheroes that look like them for once and strong female leads too....that being said i will probably wait until it comes to HBO. I think the last movie I saw in the theater was the Tribe Called Quest doc a few years back...In LA its a 20 dollar investment just for a ticket, then parking, then food etc

It was diarrhea on a movie screen. I get drug along to those stupid movies because my Son is really into them. This was one of the worst.
I also got "drug" along by my son but I found it a lot more entertaining than I thought I would. In my opinion it is good. Also the Wakandans throw the Bones! I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone else mention that.
As a comic book collector in the 1970's and 1980's (feel free to visit the 3,200 books I donated to the UNL Library), I always enjoyed the Marvel universe. More X-Men and Spider-Man, but also Avengers and Fantastic Four. I'm a little surprised by Black Panther, seeing as he was about the 500th most important character in Marvel.
Both Luke Cage, Hero for Hire, and his later appearance in Power Man and Iron Fist were more important and enjoyable than some background image of Black Panther on the cover of the Avengers.
If we're going to stick with awesome comics featuring minorities, The Hands of Shang-Chi: Master of Kung Fu was overlooked and extremely underrated.

For the most part they do the Marvel movies really well. I was surprised both times by how much I loved the Guardians of the Galaxy movies. They have every opportunity to be the worst kind of God-awful cheesy and not funny at all, but they nail the comedy and you gotta love the soundtrack of 70s hits.
Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and Patrick Stewart as Xavier are perfect. Halle Berry is an awful storm but I'm mostly able to ignore her. Ryan Reynolds is a perfect Deadpool, too.
The Thor movies are the weakest link for me. Natalie Portman's character never really gets off the ground, Chris Hemsworth looks the part but you don't develop any real connection with him.
I think they're doing Dark Phoenix with Sophie Turner as Jean and I don't know how high my expectations are. She struggles with the American dialect and it's distracting as hell, other than being a redhead and very famous I'm not a big fan of that casting choice.
Haven't seen Black Panther yet but I've heard it's really well done. They've certainly made a crapload of money.
skipping it. Jordan grates on me. He was a big reason fantastic four sucked. Well to be fair, there was nothing at all good about that movie.

You take that back. That hot little doe-eyed number from Shooter was in that movie. Not real sure I remember anything else though
