Or to be more specific, curling? Russian, women's, curling.

Watching mostly on NBCSN. Nicely covered so far. Much better than having ABC and their affiliates slobbering over each other. Women's hockey from USA looking good this morning. Prefer the Winter Olympics over the summer. Something about watching people going 70 mph on ice or snow that captures my attention. Love the Alpine events as well. Skiing and shooting guns... Hold my beer.

Watched about 30 minutes today so far - the blonde from Norway's curling team is not to shabby either.

Did NBC in fact praise the occupation of Korea by Japan? If true they should fire everyone involved. I have not seen it - just saw the apology.

I havent watched
However I did listen to a guy on ESPN radio who said he has talked to the North Korean athletes.

This N Korean apologist talked about how the after the N Korean athletes got over the shock of taking in their surroundings "they actually longed to get back to their simple lives in N Korea" He then went on to praise the Dictators sister for I guess being alive ( the Dictators brother was assassinated by N Korea)

Of course the real truth is if you criticize the government or watch S Korean TV or try to get on the internet- the N Korean govt will often times imprison you and 3 generations of your ENTIRE FAMILY:

yeah Im sure they are all "longing" for that

I dont know how some of these media people can even exist to age 25+ without having walked right into the path of a bus.

The news reporting coming out of there has been puke worthy. Maybe the reporters should just go 30 miles north and give their return flight ticket to someone from n Korea that wants to come here. Better yet, trade places with those American citizens that are being held their against their will.

Shame on everybody for listening to the news. The news will only give one side of the story, listening to ESPN or ABC will make you puke. Glad I have SlingTV and canceled ESPN and the Orange side which is nothing but ABC. Have not heard any political talk on NBCSN.

It must be fun spending every waking minute anxiously waiting for something to be outraged about. Here I thought I was just watching snowboarding last night and you guys are telling me I was watching carefully planned political propaganda? I can tell I'm on the internet version of a coffee shop full of old cranks yelling about "the media" when guy posts a pic of a hot Russian and everyone immediately puts on their righteous indignation act and vows not to watch.

Now, what time is women's curling on?

Right after the daily 60 minute tribute to the North Koreans. Today's episode is for saving the tapeworm from the endangered species list - by starving the NK people (I mean, by promoting eating less food and thereby reversing the threat of climate change).

Didn't you read the above comments?

The Canadien channel CBC has by far superior winter Olympic coverage without the sappy fluff pieces and of course the MSM fake news.

I haven't turned on the North Korean lovefest and don't plan to.
It’s in South Korea dude. They’re different countries. Kinda like how North Dakota and South Dakota are different states. Or like how your head is different from your as.. feet.

Agree. However, if you’ve watched from the beginning, especially in the beginning, there was a significant amount of media coverage around the “historic significance” of these games, and the “unified” Korean team. The reality is, it’s all bull$**t. The reality is, once the cameras are turned away, and focus turns elsewhere Kim Jong Un will be Kim Jong Un, and Korea, both North and South, will go back to being Korea and nothing will change. We get a two week show, with the media pimping it as a “unification,” “all love no hate” and then status quo... I wouldn’t call it a North Korean love fest, but I wouldn’t call it objective reporting either. I’d call it what it is. A sporting event meant to unite the world. For 2 short weeks every four years we get the semblance of unity, then when it’s over politics prevails and we get business as usual. No need to make it what it’s not...

I don’t disagree there either. But sports as a symbol for real life is not an alien idea. It’s why we’ve been so pissed at our Huskers teams, because they haven’t been representing our state the way we think of ourselves. They are just trying to push the impact as much as they can so they’re politicking, which is annoying, but really nbc can’t help themselves.

Ps- the only out of bounds stupidity I’ve seen from nbc was the NBC Nightly News segment on North Korea leading up to the olympics. That was ridiculous.
