Wild hogs will get that big, which is exactly what those are. Within 90 days they will grow the "tusks" if domestic hogs go into the wild. Their reproduction rates are staggering. If a sow is killed, another sow in the area will claim the piglets in under half an hour. Wild pigs can outrun deer in the first 100 yards by a wide margin.

Sorry to go all "murderous, animal torturer, low-information voter, redneck, heartless bastard, gun toting, NRA loving idiot". Just had to drop in my 2 cents. Those things absolutely destoy habitat if left uncontrolled

Story I read said that picture was taken in Hong Kong. It does look like Chinese or similar lettering on the trash can. Hard to believe something like that can be roaming the streets of a city of 7-10 million.

Down here this is what we call “target practice”. they run wild down here in the swamps and can destroy entire fields of sugar cane in days if not checked. Farmers usually will give out cash per hide.

Them and Nutria, they will let you hunt those two animals with elephant gun if you asked nice enough

Shooting them from helicopters has become a thing. Even the federal fish and wildlife guys are doing it. It's all likely a waste of time until they figure out a chemical/biological solution, but the problem is figuring out something that doesn't also kill bears.

Big problem down here in Loosiana. Friend of mine has 2 separate hog traps on his land. Tearing the hell outta his land. Averages 3 wild hogs a week. He's even domesticated several and started breeding em. I get lots of free bacon.

I took a 420 pound Black Russian boar in Oklahoma a few years ago. Meat is pretty good for wild game

Plus they also carry some very devastating diseases and can ruin acres of crop land.
