But holy crap, I was there in August two years ago and I could not believe how hot it was. Nobody wanted to be outside. Everyone was holed up somewhere air conditioned.

I have family in the Phoenix area and have been there over the summer a few times.
How we treat -15° temps here, is how they treat summers there.
You don’t go outside after 11:00am there, and if you do, you scurry into some place with air conditioning ASAP.

He goes to a bible believing Christian school. He will go to where he thinks God want him.

I could be incorrect on this but didn't he just go there his final year of HS? Sounded like this was an opportunity to get some academics straightened out. I was in Christian ed for 4 years, attending there doesn't make him a Christian no more than me going to a hospital makes me a doctor. Then again, maybe he is.

Exactly. I have friends in Phoenix. They don't go outside in the summer. It sounds great to have year round warm temps, and a lot of people love that. But a lot of people, including a lot of young athletes, do not. It is dangerously hot there for four or five months out of the year.

Herm said this before Washington’s visit and we all know how much he enjoyed his visit, so don’t think this is affecting that much.

In the long run it's going to hurt them. One recruit isn't going to make or break a program but some NFL approach to it will..

I grew up in Nebraska 23 years and have lived inland from LA longer than that. I look at it as similar weather wise. Here in August/September I get so tired of it being hot I CAN'T WAIT for it to cool off. Back in Nebraska come March I COULDN't WAIT for spring. We are making a retirement decision soon about staying here or moving back to Nebraska. Our decision will be based only maybe 10-20% on the weather. Other considerations (family, taxes, cost of living pace, etc.) have become much more important than the weather in our decision.

why are the only schools recruiting Washington the ones who went thru coaching changes?
you'd think lots of schools would make room for him

I’m guessing that has to do with his academic concerns. Held has checked and supposedly they are cleared up but that was also said about Blades last year. I’m hoping he’s N on Wednesday and we don’t have to worry about it?

That's a valid point. Some parents send kids to Christian school to "straighten them out." Hopefully this isn't the case. It doesn't hurt to be around other believers and the relationships are helpful to get someone to repent and trust in Jesus the Messiah.

If he doesn't qualify, park him at IWCC. We really, really need to start getting a pipeline going there. Sounds like it may be starting.
