Obviously it’s early, but I've heard he is leaning towards Minnesota. Is he not from Nebraska? Or is it much ado about nothing and he will be N when the dust settles?

He only has one prediction for Minnesota from a Minnesota writer almost a year ago.

His parents are from Iowa, his dad played Tennis for the Hawkeyes and used to coach tennis at ISU. I'd say the Hawkeyes are probably our main competition, but he did receive a Notre Dame offer yesterday. I don't think he has much allegiance to Nebraska, but Barrett Ruud will be all over him for the next year.

Thanks for the info. I had no idea... appreciate it!

He has Iowa ties, but also has some big time offers like Penn State and Notre Dame. It will be a dogfight to keep him instate.

Both of the Burke players will be VERY difficult to keep in-state

With even just little success winning next year I firmly believe both players will end up as Huskers. Frost is an amazing recruiter and is currently the hottest coach in the nation. Like the poster above said, Ruud will be all over him.
I REALLY want both of those guys. Nebraska's population is just too small to let any standout recruits get away.

Bingo. The story can't change. In state guys should be a priority, just like it's always been.

It's an advantage when you can go to moms house to get some laundry done and still be a rock star..

Maybe...some want to get away or get back closer to where they are from originally. Nebraska ties are not deeply rooted with these two

Agreed but mom and dad being in close proximity is nice for a college kid..

If you go back over the years, when Omaha has produced a high level prospect, a fair number of them have gone out of state. Station, Ridley, Sayers, a couple offensive linemen that went to Notre Dame come to mind.

We have a poster from Omaha on our boards that has a son that plays sports at Burke. She is in a group of mothers with Henrich and Hickman’s mothers.

As stated here, the Dad played tennis at Iowa and Henrich has been an Iowa fan his whole life. The last update was that the Mom really liked Minnesota for some reason.

Henrich is not a lock for anyone at this point obviously with the big time attention he is getting FWIW.

Henrich is blowing up. This could end up being one of toughest in-state recruiting battles since Frost himself.

Then the rest of the High school coaches in Nebraska have an obligation to develop players that are so much better than this pair that we don't care when they go to the competition.

I know they may not be Nebraska homers but we have every advantage you could want(for once) when it comes to recruiting these guys. We dont have to send the G4s(or whatever they’re flying in) to Florida, Cali, Texas, etc to recruit these guys. They're right in our back yard. If we don’t get them it definitely won’t be because of lack of effort.
