Can't blame him. I believe that Frost would have been his 3rd coach, plus he was never going to get any meaningful playing time due to his health condition.

Great kid, great family
Best of luck to him
Provided good leadership in backup role

Class act- not taking a 5th year on scholarship

Hopefully Taylor follows this lead

Great young man. Does anyone know if he graduated? I hope he leaves with good feeling toward the football program and the school, and goes on to have great success in the future.

If you are referring to Adam Taylor, 2017 was his last year. He's already done.

Good luck Darlington.

Taylor completed his fifth year in 2017 and is no longer on the roster.

His old man's offense before his son came along was a thing of beauty.
It still is
Once Zack left- Rick went back to running the same thing he has been running since about 2007 or so. He changes things up a bit based on the talent he has and prior to Zacks injuries, he was a good fit for Spread Option- instead of Single Wing
Zack played the spinning Fullback in that offense his Freshman year
Rick ran a lot of Pelinis stuff thanks to Bo doing his coaching clinics at the bowls- sweep read (inverted veer) , power read, zone read etc
I will be speaking on same stage as Rick at at least one coaches clinic this year

Rick has another son coming up- who is also a QB- think he may be a Soph this year- so the offense may change a bit again- who knows

That school of late has produced the #1 OL in the country- Martez Ivey and Chandler Cox- who started at Auburn as a Freshman- Cox played blocking back then "Tailback/QB" in Ricks Single Wing- they produce some players

I remember seeing him at a Glazier clinic awhile back. 2 dudes and 9 cones was the heading on his first slide if I remember right. We used some of his stuff in short-yardage/GL packages that year.

I do not remember Nebraska using any of his stuff

If that was Kansas City glazier I also spoke at that clinic

I took Rick to aurthur Bryant's bbq
Stood in line outside into the February cold for very fatty bad ribs and weak sides
We were both very disappointed to say the least

Rick is a very entertaining speaker
He spoke here in Lincoln at the Nebraska coaches clinic a few years back
He also runs a very unique and aggressive strength and conditioning program
His kids get amazing results

We both helped Lincoln high school when they put their toe in the water for running single wing
Can't remember if he came here or they went to apopka

It was a KC Glazier. And I know Nebraska didn't run any single wing...we used some where I'm at.

Felt bad for Lincoln High that year. We played them...it was a debacle. Half the time they couldn't even catch a snap.

It was a stepping stone for Mark
They were awful and getting beaten badly by everyone and their numbers were REALLY bad- partly due to open enrollment

They won a few more, literally totally gave away a couple of games due to poor snaps and their Freshmen won.

They built numbers, won a little more, kept a few more kids at home- then went to the spread, worked real hard in the weight room and caught lightning in a bottle. Who would have thunk it from where they were before he got there and in his first few years? Happy for them.

Good luck young man thanks for your time being a Nebraska football player just to bad you couldn't have contributed more and it suck you had to be on a team that was the worst in 51 years

Good luck ZD and thanks for your commitment to Nebraska footabll.

Our players are starting the realize the reason they loved Riley (softy) really made them look bad. They now see what proper focus and leadership can do....

Not a wasted scholarship. He set a tone for hard work like no one else on that team. There's a reason he was called Zeus. He lifted with the linemen (which might not reflect well on the linemen) because he was so strong and hard-working. Tell him to his face that his scholarship was wasted.
