Tim Tebow is a joke. He has his sec blinders so far up his butt its pathetic. He said for Ucf to have a shot schedule tough power 5 school. No power 5 school is going to schedule a good G5 school because it' not a guaranteed win. Hypothetically if Frost was still Ucfs coach I don' see any of the top Sec teams scheduling them. I do give credit to Maryland and Georgia Tech for scheduling Central Florida. Remember Maryland did beat Texas. I would of loved to see Central Florida play Georgia Tech that would of been an interesting game.

He's probably still bitter about Scott Frost turning down Florida. I don't doubt one bit that the SEC homers would suddenly be more interested in UCF being national champions if Frost was headed to Florida or another SEC school.
I have no problem with them claiming a national title but let’s be honest if Nebraska was a one loss team in the national title game and UCF was claiming to be the real national champion we would be parroting the exact same thing the Georgia, Alabama, Tebow and SEC fans are saying only much louder.
None of this outrage would exist if Nebraska was in Georgia or Alabama’s shoes.
If there were an 8 team playoff a team like UCF belongs in the playoff.

Bingo. If Scott Frost didn't play here, and was not our next coach, people would laugh them off. Remember all the outrage here when Boise didn't get a shot (after doing it much longer)?

He is right and I have heard many other analysts say this as well. There is no benefit for top power 5 schools to schedule tough non power 5 schools, like UCF. If the power 5 school wins it doesn't help them much if they lose it tanks them.
In order for teams like UCF to be taken seriously they need to be able to play and beat top 25 and top 10 teams every year. That is easier said than done, because power 5 schools don't want to risk it.So they won't even schedule them . They would rather play a crappy power 5 school. So it just keeps going round and round.
Agree. Makes no sense for a Power 5. Some really good posters said this previously, and it resonates now even more.
Which is why I LOVE Frost's view on the regular season, from 9 to 8 in conference.

I am not sure I understand all the arguments here. I guess I compare the G5 league schedule to most P5 league schedules and they aren't even close. Take Nebraska's schedule next year for instance. The league schedule alone is difficult enough without adding another G5 school - you already have Troy and then Pac 12 Colorado.
Not sure that beating a Memphis twice, although difficult in itself, and beating an Auburn team equates to winning a league title in the B1G, SEC, Big 12 or even the Pac 12.
There was a graphic sometime this week about how many players both Alabama and Georgia have place in the NFL the last few years, it is a big number. It will be years before we are ready to head to head with either of these teams. Speed on O and spreading them out is a great equalizer but you still have to have the horses on D to play the physical game in the trenches.

I’m going to put aside my Scott Frost blinders for a second say I don’t disagree with Tebow. If Auburn had beaten UCF, they wouldn’t have claimed a ridiculous national championship. UCF, much like Boise St and Utah in the past would not have made it through an 8 or 9 game SEC/ACC/BigTen schedule unscathed.
