Great win, especially on the road. I wish they could have beaten Kansas. KU lost at home to Texas Tech tonight.

Team isn’t very good when they stay aggressive and space out on offense. Jordy needs to learn to kick it out or his playing time will always be limited.

This was a big win for the Huskers. A road win against a Big Ten team with their best player out. These are the kinds of games you need to win if you want to make the post season.

Same ol' posters as well. They'll be the first to tell you they're just being realists. Well, I enjoyed the real win.
Thank god we have you here to tell everyone how great we are in everything. Super fan. That really worked out for you after raking others over the coals when they were critical of Riley. Laughing

Great win. Need to hit 18 wins to get to the tournament. Looking at the rest of the schedule, it seems feasible.
Eh, I don't think 18 wins gets it done. That would mean 7-8 the rest of the way, and there aren't many opportunities for RPI-boosting wins. But, I defintely think there are more than 7 winnable games there if they can avoid the February skid.

DISCLAIMER: My feeling that 18 wins will not get the Huskers an NCAA tournament is merely an observation about the selection process and not a criticism of the team. Does this explanation suffice, or must I drop to my knees and beg for forgiveness?

Nah...just because others aren’t delusional doesn’t mean they want Nebraska to lose super fan. But hey..you are also the same guy/girl that thinks watching a game where the teams go 12-48 inside the arc and 8-27 on layups in the first half is good basketball. Sorry that some can’t actually talk about what’s happening in a game thread without you getting so upset super fan. Or should I say..Beaver fan?

After a few minutes of googling, you’re right. We need about 22 wins, 20 being the lowest. I don’t know why I had 18 wins stuck in my head.

Seriously, do we have to fight about everything? Can't we just enjoy a nice win by the basketball team?
It would be great if we could actually just post about what’s happening in the game during real time. But hey...super fans are going to super fan.

Eighteen was only going to get it done if a few of them were over the right teams, and the chance to beat Creighton, MSU and Kansas has passed. But like I said, there are a lot of very winnable games coming up. I don't really put Saturday's game in that category, but after that the schedule isn't all that difficult.

I don't support everything our coaches/teams do. I just have a higher threshold before I start to bag on the team. You basically only post to let everyone know how bad it is. Thank you crap fan for letting us know about our horrible coaching hires. Maybe you can sign people up to read your crappy NU coaches newsletter. You got to admit, the Grinch has got nothing on you! Laughing

Not my issue you have selective reading. That’s a you problem. It would appear you are still butthurt that the others you scolded over and over again turned out right with how horrible the football staff was. Most would accept it and move on but super fan just can’t let it go.

I disagree. The Big Ten is bad this season. iMO, the Huskers may have to reach 20 to make it a lock. The good news is they have 15 games remaining, with 8 at home. Already notching a road win over a team pushing for a tourney bid is huge.

There is no problem with saying “man we can’t buy a bucket right now” but you can tell several “fans” use down stretches as a chance to say “told ya so” or to tell a bigger story about how bad they know the team or Miles is.

I just went thru the first thread and sans a poster saying we have a lot of bad shooters on this team which IMO could be debunked the comments weren't that bad. I didn't see anybody saying this team sucks like you claimed. The first half was brutal basketball for both teams. Luckily, there was another half to be played and we looked much better. With Mcintosh being out we really needed to take advantage and get a road win. Any road win will be big as I think we have the potential to either win out or get 8 wins at home in the Big 10

Is there an Act of Contrition I can undertake in order to get the air quotes removed, so I can be a fan instead of a ghastly "fan"?

Is there published criteria I can follow, or should I just check back here for further instruction?

Everybody thought B1G football was bad until after a few bowl games this year. Let's see how things play out before we judge the conference in basketball. Rutgers is light years better. Iowa and Wisconsin are playing better now. NU is a much better team IMO. Should be fun.

While I agree, it will still be a tough conference slate I'm not sure if perception will matter much. RPI and SOS will garner more weight with the selection committee and the Big 10 has some clunkers right now. Rutgers is sitting at #215, Iowa #174, Indiana #144. Wins vs those schools at this point won't help much but a loss will really hurt.
