Then I have a feeling that Frost will have set a Higher Standard for a coach & staff that go elsewhere for greener pastures. That other coaching staffs might be held up to in the future making it a tough act to follow.

Hopefully UCF can pull it out, but it’s a big if.

Agree, Auburn has beat 2 teams in the playoff and lost to a 3rd.. And some of the UCF players have been telling Auburn they haven’t see this kind of speed in the SEC.

I don't think they've seen the pure speed that UCF has offensively but they face much better defenses and more talented offensive rosters than UCF is going to offer them. I think UCF loses this game but then it could be another Alabama-Utah type game as well. I thought Alabama would roll Utah several years back when they were matched up in a bowl but they had no answer for Utah's speed and deceptiveness.

The "standards" in college football have either dropped or never existed. The only standard that counts is winning...this was really reinforced with conference realignment where schools that had been in certain conferences for decades were switched for merely financial reasons. Coaches can literally break the law repeatedly, rape little boys, get caught drinking and driving multiple times, whatever, and still be allowed to coach as long as someone thinks they can win. In fact the more transgressions they have perpetrated the cheaper and easier they might be for a down and out program to get. As long as coaches can screw over kids to reap the biggest salaries then there will be no standards.

Don't forget everybody eyeing the SEC. Freedom for all who cheat and cheat boldly! I mean... why else would Misery and TAMU join?

As an A&M grad I can readily attest to the fact A&M were already prolific cheaters for a long time prior to joining the sec
I chalk most of it up to something that makes no modern sense

Lol.... they see speed like UCF in the SEC week in and week out. UCF will be in for a rude awakening about speed.

And if Frost was still coaching them( not being around the program and hired as Nebraska coach and recruiting threw the first part of December) I believe he would be pissed as hell for popping off like that before the game.

Which team in the SEC operates like UCF does? Kelly ball is all about speed, speed, speed, many SEC teams are about a mix of speed and size.

Auburn runs Malzahn's offense, it's a smash mouth spread and not based purely on speed..

There is no team in the SEC that plays Kelly ball..

Pretty similar and of course it's more power running.. Frost offense could very likely end up more like Malzahn's offense now that he is in the B1G.

Frost actually runs some of the stuff Gus is running at Auburn. The most well known would be that buck sweep play. They'll have a tall task ahead of them but anything can happen.

I think nearly every name program in the SEC has the speed that UCF has. I hate to say it, but I think UCF losses by at least 2 TDs.

If UCF wins this game, we should give Frost a lifetime contract immediately.

I've thought the same thing and if nothing else but to keep the conference on their toes and not get too comfortable defending the same attack style

All this speed talk is just stupid. Both teams have an incredible amount.

Who can take care of the ball and get their players space to run will win.
Gimme Auburn unfortunately.

I want UCF to win first and win big second.

But my money, if I was a betting man, would be on Auburn.

UCF is going to have to play defense with their hair on fire!

Frost said that UCF has "guys who can run" and Auburn has "big guys who can run."

He also only went after two of UCF's commits that he felt were good enough to play at Nebraska. Also quoted as saying he pretty much knew he wouldn't get Adrian Martinez at UCF but could at NU.

Not saying UCF can't win, but I think he understands top Power 5 programs are at a different level.

Correct- the Auburn Run game is Wing T based
As weve seen this entire Bowl Season- up front line play has been the difference maker. Will be an interesting match up
