Pipe dream I know, but it sure would be fun to have one non-conference game every year against one of the old Big 8 teams. Colorado...let"s play those bitches again and the rest of them too.

Well, we are playing Colorado in a home-and-away starting next year. Then Oklahoma in '21 and '22, then CU again in '23 and '24, then OU again in '29 and '30.
Kinda hard to play all those schools with a nine-game conference schedule that only allows for one P5 home-and-away each year along with two home cupcakes. We need to make sure we're rotating teams in from around the country and especially those in our prime recruiting areas.

I have a great idea...
Lets play Kansas every year the week before Thanksgiving so our team has a cupcake opponent towards the end of every year!

KU and K-State will never agree to football games with Nebraska. I live in KC and their fans hate that Nebraska left and almost caused the Big XII to crumble. I guess basketball and baseball are a different story.
I always liked the idea of trying to play KSU in KC at Arrowhead if it could be arranged, but yea, I've heard the same, and I'm not sure KSU or KU would agree right now. Might take a few more years to heal that wound.
I would rather get food poisoning EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE than play these whiners again...I know....I live with them!
Would be great to play an Xbox schedule from a fan standpoint if it weren't for that pesky need for seven home games to fill the coffers. Really not a big fan of the 9-game conference schedule unless all the P5 conferences have a level playing field. Looking at you, SEC.
You also have the options of getting Missouri and Iowa State, hell even throw in Oklahoma State. This would be a big opportunity for fans to DRIVE to a game. Other than Clemson v South Carolina, Florida v FSU and Georgia v G Tech, there aren't many chances for Power 5 schools to have a non con game that provides such easy travel options.
Just can't stand looking at their mascot. Skinny guy in a football uniform with that gigantic power cat melon on his head. Sick
It always pissed me off that their mascot is a cat (head) with human appendages. I know it's K-State, but they can't afford cat arm sleeves at least?

That would be a good one to rotate in for the SEC angle and recruiting purposes. Plus it's for the Nebraska-Missouri Victory Bell, the only cool/authentic rivalry trophy we've ever been associated with. Good for us to bring it out every now and again and let them have a look at least. :Cool:
I'm with you on that, I think it'd be great to see a schedule where it doesn't look something like Kansas City Chiefs are scheduling the Tri City Danger.
Absolutely. I wish the BIG 10 would just stoop to the SEC level and go back to 8, and then start scheduling patsies at the end of the season, just to force the playoff committee and other conferences to say enough is enough.
The only program I would schedule would be Oklahoma because it's one of the greatest rivalries in college sports. The rest can rot and honestly would love to see the Big 12 crumble and most wallow in a conference like the Mountain West.
I'm really excited to play them again in 2021. Frost even has time to make it a competitive game.
