He was the key to the stars lining up for us. I just re-watched all of the videos leading up to the Frost hire, and this guy just handled himself extremely well. I think the relationship he appears to have established with Scott, bodes extremely well for us in the future. None of this feels fake to me, and I am optimistic for the first time in a long time.

Frost talked repeatedly about “timing” and “leadership.” Basically meaning, the previous leadership was not ideal, and therefore the previous coaching searches were not good timing. Therefore I maintain that the hire of Bill Moos lead to a huge upgrade in leadership, and the subsequent hiring of Frost. If it comes down to UCF an NU with Shawn Eichorst at the helm, II think Frost stays at UCF. Moos is the leader we need and I think it is already showing. I think Frost knew this deep down and IMO without Moos there is no Frost. Therefore you could make the argument that Moos was the homerun hire, and that he did what he was brought here to do..l hit homruns.

Nice post OP. And if I may be so bold, how about a big *** round of applause for Ronnie Greene and Hank Bounds? They probably deserve their own thread, honestly. Some of the most important people in this whole process that are taken for granted. They didn't screw it up, they didn't let their egos get in the way and got the job done damnit!

Outside of Osborne, Davison, and the fact that it was his father Larry's dream and his own dream to be the HC of the Huskers, Greene and Bounds finally figured it out—and it could not have happened any later. We are extremely lucky to have them, hiring Bill Moos who didn't get in the way of the Coach Frost homecoming. They are all leading our program like mother-effing pros. Round of applause for those guys. Because of them we can finally look forward to brighter days of unity, together, as a state and football team.

Agreed. But above that, kudos to Green and Bounds for realizing what needed to be done, following through with making it happen, and then going out and getting the right guy in charge

Also kudos to Green and Bounds. Back to Moos very professional but yet seems like a ordinary guy, relates well with the fans which it what you want for a AD your chief fundraiser

Moos is the type of guy who could walk into a local lounge sit down at the bar and have a cocktail with you and then get up go to the other room and raise 50 g's with the big wigs. i believe we had another AD years ago that could do the same thing and look what he produced. hell he even has a venue named after him. great hire.

Leadership fix all the way up the chain. Choreographed beautifully to land Frost. Finally...and about damn time.

Moos seems like a great hire, but it is still a bit early to know for sure. Moos has been here an hour, and Frost has been here five minutes. I hope they will be able to climb Nebraska out of its 20 year funk, but I'm not ready to declare things fixed just yet. A year from now everybody could be complaining because Moos interfered with one of Scott Frost's decisions, as the team suffers a 6-6 season. Time will tell if the right parts are in place.

No one in this thread declared things were fixed.

I saw this noted in an article somewhere, and I thought about it too-it's interesting to note that bringing Scott Frost home was orchestrated by men from Virginia(Green), Mississippi(Bounds) and Washington(Moos)(with help from Nebraskan Matt Davison).

Good grief, let’s just enjoy the moment for awhile, before sinking back to Husker-fan-glumness (I remember how PO’d some Husker fans were in the 70s when Coach lost a couple). We finally did something tight — for the first time in nearly 20 years. I will be happy when we start shoving back, instead of getting shoved around — even If we lose a few along the way.
