Reading the new recruits statements most of their comments are about coach Frost and how great it would be to play in his awesome offense. I Think Herbie really added to Frost's value, even though he never intended it to benefit Nebraska. LaughingLaughing

Personally, I think we turned him into one when the '71 '95 teams were selected as the best fan voted teams to play head to head on that live ESPN show and he nearly had a meltdown.

In reality, many, if not most, rivals boards have people on them far more "connected" to what's going on than is Herbstreit. Gotta sift the wheat from the chaff.

I know Hubstriet is much younger than myself but when he said "did the 1971 team even pass the ball"
showed he knew nothing about the 1971 team with Johnny Rodgers...He must of been thinking of OU wishbone.

What was sad is Barry Switzer was on the sidelines during that 1971 classic and he could have straighten Hurby out but sat there and said nothing.

Refresh my old memory, did he actually say "Frost to Florida" or that there was a rumor that they had talked to him? I don't recall seeing anything that said he was going there, but I could have missed it as much as was going in the last couple of weeks.

Yes, would have posted this point earlier if not for being banned temporarily again. Herb said the same thing about Florida State. FL HS recruits now have an elevated impression on Frost . Both fla and fla st. #1 target lost to the land up north, ice and snow.
