Could still be negotiating with him. I think it is clear that SF looks for more than just your coaching ability when picking his staff. He is looking for a cultural fit as well.

Honestly his attitude I think fits the type of Persona Scott wants his coaches to have. But at the end of the day it's Scott's decision and if he feels it's best for the team and he'll keep him and if not we'll have someone else

Ruud has "Nebraska football" on his twitter Bio. He's absolutely going to be part of the staff, in what capacity remains to be seen
He is the 1st person to contact B. Williams, he is part of the staff somehow, just not sure what position exactly

Sounds familiar to the Riley way of bringing his OSU staff with him. He has $5 million to work with and he brings a non power 5 staff almost intact. Would like to see the Williams find a place.

I see the logic. He has a staff that works well together and went 12-0. However. What works in the AAC may not work in a power 5. Will have to see. Frost seems like a very loyal guy. Hope he can make a change if needed down the road.

stop your whining here.......yes, he is bringing his staff from UCF with him....Riley brought his staff from OSU...are you blind to NOT be able to see the difference? Let him bring the guys he is comfortable and familiar with...they are a bunch on winners!

I think the fan base has gotten about as soft as the team.

Except Frost’s staff proved more in two years than Riley’s most of their careers.

Many on Riley's staff were on the verge of being fired at Oregon State. Big difference from a staff that just finished undefeated.

Frost is a loyal guy and would not have accepted the job here if we didn't allow him to bring his staff with him.

This. Riley brought a staff accustomed to losing and which had no idea how to build a culture of winning. Frost is bringing a staff with a lot of Nebraska ties who know how to win and know how to build a culture of winning.

Anyone on here complaining about Frost bringing his staff is not thinking clearly.

Will he become the 10th assistant as the 2nd LB coach? If I was a betting man I would guess that.

Big coin for a defensive coordinator who only completed his second season as a defensive coordinator. I guess he used to be at Oregon too, so let's hope that he is on the rise.

Only one I am concerned with is Chinander. They looked as bad as us the last 2 of their games. Yes I know people say the offense of those 2 teams were very good. We don't have high power offenses in the BIG10? Even UCF fans were calling for his head and are more than happy to see him go.
Not saying to not give the guy a chance here. Frost just seems like a very loyal guy and have a feeling he wouldn't be able to make a change if needed down the road.

Ohio State’s defense looked quite bad in a few of their losses this year, as did some other top 25 teams. It happens.

With a 5 million dollar budget for the 10 coaches and 1 strength and conditioning coach, that leaves 1.825 Million left for 3 coaches and a strength and conditioning coach correct? 10 coaches and 1 strength and conditioning coach. If thats true 800K for an Offensive coordinator and the other 3 coaches will average a little over 341K. Plus if they win conference championships the assistants each get I believe a 25% yearly salary bonus. Yeah, I think the are motivated :)

Yep Ruud is there now. I don’t blame him for going this route. It doesn’t appear he’s keeping any of the old staff, so far. Although I do wish he’d kept Keith Williams and even Donte Williams (again worst case here, lead recruiter). But this is his choice and I will trust and believe in him. With this staff we all need to be patient and trust in the HC. This fans spilt crap has to stop. It does our team no good (doesn’t matter if we are right or wrong, still does no good).
